Four fallen U.S. service members killed in Iran are now back home.
A 19-year-old Carrollton native is among the group honored by President Trump and other U.S.
officials during a dignified transfer ceremony that took place this morning at Dover Air Force
Base. Fox 4's Sean Rabb in studio with more on the emotional ceremony. Sean?
Yeah, quite emotional. And you know what? The U.S. and Iran continued fighting in the Middle East
even as four soldiers who lost their lives were brought home in that dignified transfer.
The president saluted the flag-draped transfer cases carrying the remains of four fallen
soldiers from an aircraft to an awaiting vehicle to mortuary affairs at Dover Air Force Base.
It is a solemn, silent sequence of movements with the transfer case carried by a team of personnel
from the fallen soldier's branch of military. The transfer case itself treated with the highest
reverence and regard for the remains it holds. Four times soldiers carefully carried the cases,
holding those who lost their lives in the conflict with Iran, including one of our own,
Isabella Gonzalez, private first class from Carrollton, only 19 years old. She was with
the Air and Missile Defense Command. Before traveling to Dover, President Donald Trump
was planning to meet privately with each family of the four fallen soldiers.
All I'm going to say is, we love you. We love your child. And that's what
they are to them. They're their children. There's no games, no nothing. That's their child.
And all you can do is throw out your heart.
The president promising Iran would, quote, pay a big price for the deaths of the Americans,
adding they're being decimated. Now, the president adamant again today about not
letting Iran have a nuclear weapon and committing to release the results of an investigation into
the Iranian airstrike that killed three service members in Jordan, including private first class
Isabella Gonzalez. The city of Carrollton says it is working on a permanent tribute in her memory.
All right, Sean Rabin, studio. Thank you.
President Trump's warning, he will continue to target civilian infrastructure for each
Iranian attack in the Strait of Hormuz. He says he'll destroy a bridge or a power plant
for each attack on a ship. The president's latest threat follows another wave of strikes on Iran
overnight. Iran launched a missile attack on Jordanian city of Israel's doorstep,
prompting alerts in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
