US President Donald Trump recounted his decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the “Gulf of America,” claiming the move reflected the United States’ greater share of the coastline. Trump also described an alleged phone call with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, saying she had asked him not to change the name.
