Summer days in shanghai | wagyu corn ramen, flea markets, black sesame croissant, sunset busking

Amazing Guys it is so hot outside today. It's like 40 degrees I'm melting hunting for a ramen restaurant They currently have a limited edition corn ramen old corn ramen, which I think would just be perfect for a day like this I found it guys Here for this bowl doesn't this look so good. This was on the michelin guide for eight consecutive years Oh my gosh guys Slices of wagyu and there's some char-grilled corn I'm guessing that's like arugula or something and then I think these are like fried onion slices Some red radish and then all in a nice icy cold corn soup Of course it comes with an egg. It looks amazing chopsticks spoon Roll in a little bit of this It's so refreshing the perfect taste of salmon That's amazing. That's why it was amazing. Oh my god Okay, so the unlimited refills of the ramen and the broth is just not enough and i'm seriously considering losting some more That Was the best meal i've had in 2021 Meal of the year right here. I ordered a pair of boots rain boots because it was like non-stop raining The first few days I was in shanghai, but even when I ordered it I was just thinking in my head like literally watch it Never rain again once these boots arrive and so far that has been the case These boots have been sitting here for a week and I haven't even taken them out because it's just been So hot and not raining for the whole week, but I thought I'd take them out and let them see the light of day anyway They're so cute What do you think guys Now I just need it to rain Today is a saturday And I think the largest second-hand flea market in shanghai Just so happens to be happening this weekend, so I thought i'd go check it out I honestly cannot be bothered to do my hair. So I had to make a trip out for it. Look at those layers! Oh my gosh. Literally a 25-minute bike ride to get here. I am so excited. Ta-da! Flaky pastry, rich nutty black sesame paste that's not too sweet. And it's really chewy, delicious mochi underneath. So pretty! Mochi pool! Bite for you and a bite for me. It's so delicious. This is like a Chinese take on a palm sweet. I love it. I also bought myself an iced Americano just in case it was going to be too sweet. Favouring every last bite. This is how hot it is outside, guys. 20 minutes of bike riding and oh my gosh. I'm completely soaked. Anyways, it is gym time. I just got back from the gym. Freshly showered and I thought this would be a good time to do a little market haul from yesterday. If my hair will stop getting stuck on my eye patches. Starting with the most basic and boring first. Picked up this black tea from Cozz. Such a basic staple piece but I realized I don't actually have a black tea. This was also my most expensive purchase. This was 100 yen but it's basically brand new. It's a really nice cut and fit and it's 100% cotton. Next up we have this piece. This is like a little out of my comfort zone in Chinese. It's Xin Zhong Shi which is like maybe like a modernized version of a Chinese style top. You guys can see we have that very Chinese button detail over there. It's in a really nice light breathable fabric. Tried it on last night after I got home and it's actually really cute. So we'll see how I style this in future videos. This was 35 I think which is pretty good. It's brand new. The girl who was selling it said she'd never worn it before. Next we have this very beautiful flowy white dress. The neckline looks like this and I thought this would be perfect for a seaside adventure. It was only 20 yen and it's only been worn once. So why the heck not? In between all the clothing stores was this one store that sold some beautiful vintage pieces from Japan. And I picked up these earrings. Ta-da! Can you guys see? Look at the details on that. What do we think? I don't think I've ever owned any statement earrings that are this big and dangly. But I love them. I was hovering around the table for ages trying to see if any other pieces caught my eye. But of course it was love at first sight with these ones and they were 70 yen. Now for a pop of color. Look at this pretty yellow sundress. This is from Reformation and I just thought it was so beautiful and summery. The front has spaghetti straps like this and then the back has this beautiful crisscross detail. This was 80 yen which I honestly think is such a steal for Reformation. And the girl who was selling it said that at least 20 other girls had tried it on before me and it wouldn't fit any of them. Which I don't know how that happened because I don't think I'm like the skinniest. But anyway, it must have been destiny. And then when I was paying for it, I also saw that she had these gorgeous vintage earrings on display as well. I have been wanting something like this for the longest time. I just think they're so gorgeous and they also match really well with the yellow dress as well. So I got these together for 100 yen which I think is amazing. I'm so so happy. That is the end of my market haul. How many pieces did I get? One, two, three, four, five, six. Six pieces. I would say that's a very successful flea market trip. Very happy. I would like to point out that it is raining right now. Raining for the first time in like two weeks. Whoa. Actually just freshly showered though. Like should I go outside? I just wanna wear my rain boots. This is crazy. It's actually pouring outside. Oh my gosh. Look at the water pouring down. Ready-made meal. Perfect for times like this when it's probably not a good idea to go outside. Hot but good. I'm currently trying to plan some trips. There's so many places that I can go via high-speed rail from Shanghai. And I'm meaning to visit Suzhou for a really long time. It's a super beautiful city. There's a lot of canals. It's nicknamed Venice of the East. And it's like less than half an hour away by high-speed rail from Shanghai. So I was thinking of doing a day trip there sometime next week. What do you guys think?
