I NEVER saw this coming...

I like I said, I never saw this coming. I wasn't expecting Colin Graff to be on this top line I always had it as sure in a shop, but Here's the reason why I think that Colin Graff is a great player I do think he is but having three predominantly playmakers on one line isn't the way to go about things I don't know if they took that into account when making these lineups I'm not a fan of having Colin Graff on this top line at all I think maybe in in a game situation where maybe you need to make some Opportunities happen some goal-scoring opportunities happen Maybe you do throw this line into the mix but going into the start of a game. I cannot see this lineup happening I'm a more of a fan of having sure to shop up on that top line a big body a guy who can finish around The net and also a guy who can you know? Screen the goaltenders get it, you know get in the eyes of the goaltenders try to tip one down I'm not a big fan of having three playmakers on one line, but nonetheless, that's what they have here The second line though really interests me with sure to shop Misa and March mint I think having March mint and sure to shop. I'm on one line I would just be great because March mints more of that grittier player that can score points grinder type of player and having the guy like Michael Misa Who's a guy who's gonna have more minutes this year to make more? Opportunities happen and get some more points on the board with two of these kind of grittier type of players that can score around the net I think is a recipe for success. I really do believe so I do like I said like sure to shop on that top line a bit more and I do think Stenberg on this second line, I would be fantastic with these two young guys with Misa and Obviously Stenberg with a veteran grittier guy in March mint I think would be awesome because Michael Misa is a great it was a great score at the junior level I do think he still has that in him So having a guy who could set him up like Stenberg would really unlock his game a lot I do really like Colin Graff on this third line With it instead of Stenberg I'd like to see him with Wenberg and Shearwood because Colin Graff is a great playmaker a great two-way type of guy Defend well in his own zone and having him on this third line That's kind of all defense with with Shearwood being you know, obviously you can score around the net as well But he's a lot more physical Wenberg we know how great defensively he is and Graff is defensive as well These guys would have a lot of D zone starts and they would be able to win those face offs get up the ice quickly with Colin Graff and he could create some magic up there in that offensive zone. I really do like that in the fourth line I mean, I'm not a Toffoli on the fourth line type of guy, but who knows, you know I think Toffoli will be in the mix around this third line. I mean and everything I've posted this year I've had Colin Graff on this fourth line, but I do think he's more of a utility guy who won't just be on the fourth Line, he'll rotate between the fourth and the third in these different game scenarios where he's going to be, you know Maybe double shifting or something like this, right? That's just the way I think about it and I don't really see a role where Toffoli is on this fourth line to start to Year, but nonetheless, that's the what they have here and you know We can only go off they have here and you know Who knows their project their predictions might be right and our predictions might be wrong But you know obviously as guys who watch the Sharks every night and we kind of know what to make what this team is gonna Look like on the defensive side though It's kind of what we've been saying here all year year long with Dickinson and Trouba on this top pairing Giving Dickinson more minutes every night kind of like Misa to create some magic to make Something happen to get him some more points playing with a more defensive style of guy with Trouba now Unlocks him to be able to jump up in the rush and you know do things like that That we've seen from him with the London Knights and I think when we give him the opportunity to be that player We're going to see that player that he was in the junior level here now at the NHL level I do like nurse and Orloff. Orloff was great for us last year And I really hope that we can continue to see that this year was probably our best defenseman at times I mean, let's not let's be honest right like he was our best defenseman last year. I looked really good last year No doubt about a great bounce back here for him. And then Luca Cagnone is the one we're all excited to see this year We've seen him in the Barracuda just lightening up being this fast speedy guy who can make magic happen whether it's with his playmaking whether it's with jumping up in the rush and Skating it into the zone and creating an offensive chance happen. I'm so excited to see this guy this year He's gonna be a great quarterback of this offense from this third pairing and I think he's going to become a household name Not just in San Jose But I think around the league by the time the year is over and obviously we have asked Rafa Nadal Kovic as our 1-2 think induct which is gonna ask Rob is gonna have such a good year this year because the defense got a lot better and You know, there's not gonna be so many shots on him every night I think he's gonna have a great year and we're all going to see that unfold coming this season but what I do want to talk about before we wrap up this video is Colin Graff we haven't seen any Update on Colin Graff since you know, his qualifying offer was extended to him We haven't heard anything any update on what an extension looks like if they're even talking like we don't know what's happening With Colin Graff except he was in the 26 27, you know preseason kind of height video So it kind of seems like he is going to be a part of this roster But we haven't got any update on if he you know If he is going to be when he's going to be signed what the numbers looking like it's kind of a weird situation I've never seen something like this unfold before so it's very interesting here muffin hockey does some great projections on their website They do have him at two years 3.725 million. I'm kind of more in the 4.5 range for Colin Graff I do think having him a lot of longer term for 4.5 Would be the right deal here, but this is their project projections I'll bring it up a little bit bigger so you guys can see the longer term numbers I've seen here on the seven-year deal. They have met 6.1 to 5 million on a Six-year deal. They have my 5.6 and a five-year deal. They have my 5.3 at 4. They have a 4.9 I would really like a 4 by 4.5 deal for Colin Graff I think that would be a great number for this player But it's just a very weird scenario that we've Honestly, never I've never seen before no update on a you know an extension from any player I mean, I've tried to search all over the place for an update on this.
