So it's time we talk about Michael Todd. I know this is going to come across possibly as petty,
but I don't care. The guy ******* annoys me. So the first time, well, first of all,
I want to preface everything with saying that Michael Todd is an excellent arm wrestler,
probably the best American Open Division arm wrestler. I don't think Jerry Catarat would
beat him. Jerry Catarat would probably be the only one with a chance. So I'm not diminishing
his arm wrestling. He's an incredible arm wrestler. The first time I saw Michael Todd
was on Larry Wheels' video. I was just kind of starting to get a little bit interested
in arm wrestling. And Michael Todd was in Dubai with Larry Wheels and LeVon,
and they were testing their strength. And I thought that Todd looked like, Michael Todd
looked like a fabulous, you know, fabulously strong guy, very impressive looking guy.
He was well-spoken, he seemed humble, and I really liked the guy. You know,
that was my first impression was, uh, that seems like a really cool guy.
Unfortunately, not long after that, I saw a few of his matches, and I've never seen such a petulant,
childish, childish, poor sport in my life, in any sport. I mean, at least when Devin does,
plays his games, he's not trying to win on fouls. He's trying to pin the guy. You know,
they both do the King's Move, which isn't great to watch, but it is what it is. It's part of the
sport. Now, the thing is, Michael Todd is probably too good for a national level. He's definitely
too good for a national level. He wouldn't be using the King's Move at that level. He would
just flash through people. But at East versus West, that just seems to be a mountain a little
too high for him. He can't do it without the King's Move, and all he's trying to do is wear
his guy down, and have his guy commit an elbow foul. That's his game plan. And if Armwrestling
wants to grow and be as successful as other combat sports, that's not what can be presented on TV.
I mean, if Dana White had a great wrestler who, you know, who wasn't unbeatable, but was close
to the top, but never stood on his feet, never threw a punch, and didn't do anything exciting,
and just stayed on the ground in a more of a defensive or offensive position, you know,
just trying to gain position instead of throwing punches or getting a submission,
I don't think he'd be in the UFC long. I think that the numbers would indicate, you know,
because, you know, they're looking at their quarterly stats and viewership. Armwrestling
hasn't reached that point yet, but when they start examining viewership on pay-per-views,
I'm pretty confident that the only people that are watching Michael Todd are his family,
or people that really want to see him get beat. But even people that really want to see him get
beat, it's so, you know, I don't want to wait 45 minutes to see him get beat. It's just too much.
So, you know, it's a weird position for him to be in. He's too good for his own country, really,
and not really good enough to be an entertainer on the big stage internationally, you know,
and like I said, he's just, if he's trying to be a heel, like a pro wrestling heel, he's terrible
at it. Being a petulant baby only works good if you really get smacked down, and when he loses,
he's losing after 45 minutes of Zaramok like this. So, he's not even good at being a heel,
he's not witty, you know, he cries about everything, he wants a replay on everything,
he's always looking at Engin's hope that Engin will come, Engin Terji, the promoter,
or he was the promoter, always looking to him to come and right the wrongs that apparently he
inflicted on him constantly. He just seems like a really insecure guy. His training videos,
the fake lifts, you know, where on a pronation lift you're supposed to keep your lower forearm
connected to your leg and just lift up, he goes like this. Basically, he's lifted,
it's almost like a one-arm deadlift. Anybody can lift 200 pounds like that.
Yes, I admit that it does translate to his open arm style, but it's still ridiculous. And then
he jumps around, you know, he does the smelling salts and jumps around like he just won an Olympic
gold medal. ------- douchebag. And then the karate kicks. I've seen him jump up and do these spinning
heel kicks. Well, let me tell you, as a man who's been in a few fights, nobody ever lands a spinning
heel kick. You throw a spinning heel kick in a street fight against somebody who knows what
they're doing, they laugh at you and punch your ******* face in. And then there's these claims
of religion, you know. He went through this phase where, I don't care what I do, you know,
I don't win or lose, it's all for God and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then he
acts, you know, I'm not a religious person, but I do understand the tenets of Christianity.
And what he does and how he behaves is the furthest thing from a Christian man. He's a cry
baby. He tries to cheat, if you ask me. When you're trying to make the other guy foul, that's
cheating. So there's nothing, there's just nothing admirable about the guy. He's one of these guys
that always has the red blotches on his face because he's shy and nervous. Just, he's not a
guy who's ever going to be going to help arm wrestling raise to the next level. As a matter
of fact, I think arm wrestling is better off without him. If you enjoy these videos and this
