Acting Secretary of the Navy Speaks During International Naval Review 250

This year as we commemorate America's 250th anniversary, we honor two and a half centuries of grit, sacrifice, and raw courage by the warriors who have defended these ideals. We're in a new era, the era of the Golden Fleet, where we'll have amazing ships and aircrafts that'll defend our country and our allies all the days. All of us have our part, our role to play in creating 250 years of a proud American story. American sea power is measured by our readiness to fight and our absolute commitment to serve. The International Naval Review isn't just about looking to the past, it's a call to action. 250 years ago, our founders knew that American survival depended on a dominant Navy, and today we're answering that same call.
