Ottawa BlackJacks clinch playoff spot with win over Edmonton Stingers in season's final game

Out west to Vancouver or out east to Winnipeg but it doesn't matter I think we're just focusing on the 40 minutes plus in front of them right now. Out of Pacific played for someone very familiar in Ottawa as Isaiah Moore gets the Black Jacks on the board but yeah Dave Smart was his head coach at Pacific but explodes the rim but a great follow in behind by Fudge who eliminates that shot. Smart. Moore third in the league in rebounds right now at 8.7. Menzie off the feet from Hornby can't convert. Tate in the corner three that one good. Maybe over 80 games that is a little bit easier but the season is so short and every possession really matters so that's something the Stingers definitely need to keep. Davis jr. baseline Patting Donald couldn't find it but then it's turned back over and Davis right at will there. Tate to his right layup is good nice take by Terrell Tate. Nick Hornsby that will be his second team second in the second. Tate also spent some time playing with Guelph of course now in Calgary and then called Fraser Valley Bandits. We saw a stretch like this on Friday night where the Stingers kind of made the joke padding their offensive rebound stats. By Fudge up ahead Javante Smart puts it down. Hornsby spins shot the rotation defensively down to the rim by Rolare and then on the break quickly a finish by Javante Smart. Guarded by Harmon. Pandemel brought way out. Smart picked his pocket puts it down. Moore comes it down to Fudge picked up by Hornsby. First to spin back tough shot knocked down by Pandemel. Hornsby has that shot blocked another one by Fudge but a good job by Hornsby to get the ball back. Gone long three cones. Smart team NBA appearances. Now Harmondu is right almost loses it does lose it eventually Lindsay gets it and now Nuga spins around Moore up the floor. Ray slips finds a cutting Boz Davis jr. That was a bit of an edge here all the way up the floor. Harmon works against Davis jr. Cannot quite spin that one home and here's Ray on the break and it will. Blackjack's trying to secure a playoff spot. Stingers trying to get some momentum heading into the playoffs. You're watching CBL basketball live on CBC Gym. Layup is good and the foul all deflected by Donald. Zipped up ahead by Hornsby to Nuga. Leaves it for Pandemel. They're going to Vancouver to take on the Bandits. That will also be on August 6th. Run by the Stingers both offensively and defensively. 7-10 remaining. In the fourth of course target score time still approaching but a nice kind of two minute stretch here from the Stingers. Cut the deficit to 13 and while we do have a second. Scarborough is going to be a tough matchup for whoever they do get top team in CBL. What a feed. Scores excuse me and a stop. Davis jr. King. Three is good. Trae lobs it up to Isaiah Moore on Elvis. So nice job there by former Oklahoma Sooner Kobe Elvis. I kind of had to pick your poison right there but I like this. Stingers all around that board. Davis jr. Third in the league coming in six and a half assists a game. Tate tough look again doesn't go rebound put back more put back still won't drop now it does. Isaiah Moore puts the Ottawa Blackjacks into the playoffs.
