AI GeneratedThe speaker shares a personal update covering her humid-weather skincare routine, reviews of beauty and apparel products, and a detailed account of her struggles with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). She also reflects on attending a family wedding, her preference for living in Florida, and the emotional complexities of aging and social perception.
Well, hello there, my friends.
Today's video, I am going to be chatting with you
while I get ready.
It's going to be a very simple look,
and I did bring a couple of things to share with you
that go along with my storytelling.
I wanted to talk to you about HRT.
I wanted to talk to you about a wedding,
and just feeling a little bit old,
but we are going to start first with my skincare,
and I've already prepped my skin with my toner,
and this is from Numbuzin,
NADD+, PDR, and Glow Boosting Toner,
and I got this from Nordstrom.
They had put it on sale,
so I thought I would go ahead and give that a try,
and then I also put on the NADD+.
I'm leaning back because the sun is so bright right now.
It keeps coming out and going in,
so we're just going to go like this
throughout the whole video.
Anyway, this is Numbuzin,
and this is the NADD+, Bio Lifting Sil Essence,
so I already put this on my skin.
Next, I'm going to go in
with one of my most favorite products,
and in the summertime,
I am forced to lighten up my moisturizer a little bit.
One, the air is very humid here,
so I don't need as much,
and two, because I am a sweater,
and I don't mean the fluffy kind you wear,
I sweat, especially when I'm out walking Lula
or I'm doing my walk for the day.
I will work up a sweat,
so if I have on a really thick moisturizer for some reason,
it runs into my eyes more than the lighter weight ones do,
so for the summer, I've just bumped it down a bit, okay?
So this is one of my most favorite products
from Prequel, and you can see I've used a lot of,
I've gone through bottles and bottles.
I put this on with my skin prep,
and I also set my makeup with it
or just spritz myself during the day
if I need a little extra hydration,
and I just spray my face.
I spray everywhere, actually, and I love it.
I absolutely love it,
and then another product from Prequel is the Half & Half.
This is a fluid moisturizer
which lends itself to the lighter side
but not any less effective, my friend.
It moisturizes and it protects the barrier of your skin.
It has peptides and ceramides in it,
so I just put a little bit of this in my hand,
and you can see it still has a little consistency to it,
but it is lighter weight, and it is more of a liquid,
and then I just go ahead and apply that,
and it gives me just the right amount of moisture
for my daytime activities.
Now, if I'm not out and about,
I'll still put on my most favorite moisturizers from ISDN
or whatever brand I happen to be in love with
for the time being,
but these two products proved to work very well for me,
and of course, I'm gonna follow up with sunscreen.
You can use the Prequel.
I'm gonna go ahead with the Solaris Sun Care,
and I've talked about this one before,
it's the Guardian Angel with a 50.
So today, we are going to talk a little bit
while I'm doing this.
I'm not going to be talking about
what I'm putting on my face.
It will all be listed and linked below
because I would never be able to get
to the things I wanted to get to,
so I'm just gonna go ahead and put my sunscreen on,
and this one really works well for me.
Remember, I'm super sensitive,
so I use whatever works for me,
and it does not matter the price
because I have very few that I can use.
Okay, so this was one thing I was gonna talk to you about.
We had a wedding over in Boca.
My brother's wife's daughter got married,
and it was at the Boca resort.
It was a brunch style, but she still wanted it to be formal.
So one thing I will say is,
no matter what I do for my nails,
sometimes I have a burst of beautiful nails,
and other times, I do not,
and I am not someone who enjoys going
to have the nails put on at the salon
because I feel they do so much damage in the long run,
and if you don't want to wear them all the time
and then you remove them, it's just a hot mess.
So I was going to share this on camera,
but I didn't believe it was going to work as well as it did,
and I thought it would have to sit for a few minutes,
and it did not.
I bought these because I see them on Instagram,
and these are from Curve Life.
These are gel press-on nails,
and one thing I will say about them,
I'll hold it up for you,
and I hope you can see it with that sun.
Let me get the sun out of the way.
There it is.
You can see that they actually have the thickness
of a salon nail,
so they're not flimsy.
They're very, very strong nails.
They don't really bend a lot,
and I did get just the French.
Now, these have been on for 10 days,
and you can see that the French
is just starting to wear off slightly.
However, the glue has not given up.
These are on here,
so I did buy the glue remover,
and all you do is take a little drop around the sides,
and the nail comes off,
and sure enough, it did,
and this is what you're left with,
just a little bit of glue residue
that you can then wipe off,
and all you do to apply these
is just rough the nail up slightly.
You don't really file like crazy,
and you don't even have to cut down your nails,
and they applied so easy.
I did my left hand first,
since I am right-handed,
so I did this one first
because I thought it would be easier
for me to work with my right hand
with the nails on to the left nail.
They went on within 10 minutes.
I had my nails done.
These are fabulous,
and there's enough in each box
to do two sets of nails,
and they say they will last up to three weeks on.
Now, I just am changing them.
I bought some different styles,
and I also have some coming with color.
These are all neutral ones,
and they make short, long, coffin,
whatever you like.
I don't like my nails super long
because I am a very active person with my hands,
so these were a hit for me.
I love them.
Just really worked out really well for me.
So, the wedding.
I'm saving the HRT for last
because I know so many of you,
that's what you'll be wanting,
and this is just a nice little glow I'm adding on
before I put a little bit of foundation on,
not a lot.
The wedding was beautiful.
It was a brunch-style wedding.
This is the second time
I have gone to a brunch-style wedding.
My brother and my sister-in-law now
actually had theirs at the Boca Resort,
and it was a brunch-style wedding,
and theirs was outside because it was in March.
This one here that we just went to was inside.
So, it was very, very nice.
Of course, it was a very young wedding.
They're only 21,
but if you're ever thinking about
that you didn't want a,
I think it would be really nice,
a brunch-style wedding for a second wedding,
but it was really, really nice,
and the Boca does a really nice job,
but it was really, really nice,
and I'm gonna insert a couple of pictures.
While we were over there,
day before, we went up two days before the wedding
because they invited us to the rehearsal party,
even though we weren't in the wedding.
They just invited us, which was really nice,
and the groom spends Thanksgiving with us.
He's a really nice kid,
and his family was very, very nice.
His mother was sweet as can be,
but anyway, it gave me the opportunity
to spend some time with Hayes and Jace
and Ashley and Adam, of course.
That's her husband, and my brother and Cynthia,
but Ashley wanted to get her hair done,
so she asked me if I,
because the guys were, of course, going to go on golf,
so Adam couldn't go if she needed him
to take care of the baby,
so she asked me if I would mind watching Hayes,
and I said, you don't even have to ask me,
and so it gave me the opportunity
to spend some time with him and Jace.
Jace is just a sweetheart.
He is so, so smart, and he's just a sweetheart,
and he is, I think Jace is 10 or 11 now,
so he's a big boy, and he's just really a very,
he's like talking to a little adult, truly.
He is, he's very, very smart,
but Hayes, oh, he's beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Of course, he's my nephew, so I'm gonna think that,
but I don't know, I said to Ashley,
Ashley goes, do I think he's just exceptional
because he's my son?
I go, no, he's beautiful,
and I'm gonna put some pictures in here so you can see,
but he is so different from Jace.
Jace was just a very quiet boy.
He was a very picky eater,
and he just was, he was more talkative.
He was just a lot of different things than Hayes.
Hayes is, he will eat anything that's not nailed down.
He is just the funniest boy.
He's joyful.
He really is a terror.
He's, I mean, they're like polar opposites,
but they love each other so much, which is so, so sweet,
and so I really got to spend a lot of time,
so she was at the hairdresser,
and she was having some colors done,
and then she had to go to Nordstrom,
pick up her husband's shirt and stuff,
and she texted me, and she said,
you know, I can come home
instead of going and getting Adam's shirt,
and I said, oh, no need.
I said, he's sleeping on my full bladder right now,
and she said, oh, and she called it something.
I can't remember.
Maybe I'll put it in an annotation
because she did text it to me,
but it was really, really a nice, nice time,
and we stayed, usually we stay at my brother's house,
but this time we stayed at the Boca,
and just really loved it,
so it was really, really a nice, nice time.
It's always nice when I can see my nieces and nephews.
I just, I love them.
They're my great-nephews, so that was a really fun time.
I did buy, I bought a dress.
Well, I had another outfit in mind,
but I've gained some weight,
and that will be part of HRT,
so I went and I got a last-minute dress,
and it was actually pretty,
but I just didn't feel my best in it.
There's no photographs of me in it.
My hair just did not come out well.
Nothing worked in my favor
in making me feel fresh and youthful.
I felt I looked very old, and Lou disagreed,
but he would never, he's not gonna say anything anyway.
He would never, never, so I just didn't feel good,
so there's really no,
maybe there'll be one picture of me on the side,
but I wore my hair twisted up.
That was not my plan for the dress,
but it was like I wanted to do a half-up, half-down,
but Ashley's dress was gorgeous.
It was just spectacular.
I loved it, and I'm gonna ask her,
I'll put some pictures in.
I don't have a full length of it, but I'm sure she does,
and I'll ask her where she got it,
and if I can find it for you guys,
I'll link it below because it is beautiful.
Now, I can't tell you the price because I didn't pay for it,
and Ashley, well, she got richer blood than me,
so I mean, I know she had on Louis Vuitton shoes,
and I'm sure the dress was somewhere up there,
but anyway, mine was from White House Black Market.
I will link it.
It's a pretty dress, but it just didn't do it for me,
not like the outfit I had originally wanted,
which I bought, and I just did not feel good in it
because of the weight gain, so let's get on to that,
the weight gain.
A few months back, I had mentioned
that I was inquiring about HRT,
and I was going to a MediSpa for it,
and they did a complete blood work on me,
and when they did the blood work,
they found out that I have elevated LP1,
no, LPA, little A, LP, little A.
It's elevated.
That's not anything I can take care of.
It is something that I am genetically born with,
and what it does is it increases your risk
of heart attacks and strokes,
so I had to go see a cardiologist
before they felt good putting me
on any hormone replacement therapy.
Now, keep in mind, my hormone replacement therapy
was no longer for hot flashes or night sweats
or anything like that.
I had gone through all of that.
The only thing I was suffering with was sleep.
I could not get any sleep, and I'm not exaggerating.
If I could stay up all night long,
tossing and turning, walking the house,
it was becoming a problem, so I wanted to sleep,
and I knew that I had read, many people said
that it really, really helped them sleep,
so I thought, okay, I'll do that,
so the cardiologist cleared me for all of it
and said, there's no problem with you
going on an estrogen patch
as long as you stay on the lowest dose.
Now, she's the cardiologist.
I had to follow along, and I said, okay,
so the Medi-Spa was on board with that,
and they said, yes, we'll start you at the lowest.
Now, this was probably my fault,
but I didn't look into the patch
to see what strengths they came in,
so I took one month, and immediately,
side effects started happening, very uncomfortable ones.
I started getting a little bit of hives again.
I started itching like crazy,
tenderness like you would not believe,
I mean, to the point of just not even almost
having a bra on was too much,
and the weight started to come on,
and I just did not feel good,
and I was told we have to give this some time,
and I thought, okay, your body needs to acclimate.
It takes about three months,
so I was like, okay, I'll do that,
so I waited, and monthly,
I would get my prescription filled through the Medi-Spa.
They were through a compound pharmacy,
and they charge you a membership fee
at the Medi-Spa of $275 a month
for them to just write the script for you.
Of course, they have to run blood tests
that you have to pay for,
and I thought because I was paying that
that it would be similar to a doctor
that I could communicate with them
or have conversations about things,
and I'm not knocking the spa
because she's very good at what she does,
but then I had, we were going to Buffalo,
so I said, can I get my script filled
for the three months I'm not here,
and she said, absolutely,
because I did not know how it could work
for her to write the script
and me take it to a compound pharmacy in the Buffalo area,
so she wrote it and filled it.
Now, she fills it.
I didn't go to the pharmacy,
and I would have to get it from her,
and when I picked it up,
I was charged for three months,
so $275 times three for the membership fee,
which, to be honest, and I'm not knocking her.
She's a wonderful human being,
and she's very good at what she does,
but she did not discuss that with me in the beginning.
I was not told there was a membership fee.
I was very confused about that
because I have friends
who are in hormone replacement therapy.
My own sister-in-law,
she just goes to CVS and gets it filled,
and she's on Bioidentical.
She's not on synthetics,
so when she filled the three months,
I just packed it up and went to Buffalo.
When I got to Buffalo,
I happened to look at the patch,
and it was stronger than the patch I had been wearing,
and I just put it on.
Well, first I put it on,
and I couldn't figure out why am I feeling horrible.
It was even worse.
I mean, even in the area down there, it was swollen.
I thought I had a yeast infection,
all kinds of things,
because let me just, let me step back.
I was given testosterone for bone health.
I was given progesterone,
which was told would help me sleep,
and I was given the patch to wear for all the other things.
Now, the patch is not protecting my heart,
especially 11 years post-menopausal.
It's just there to help with the other symptoms of menopause,
so, which I wasn't really having anymore.
Remember that.
And then, I was also given the cream for the,
you know, the area.
I don't want to be, I don't want this video flagged.
So anyway, we get to Buffalo.
I start using the new medication,
and I start noticing that I'm feeling really agitated,
and Lou noticed it as well.
I was feeling very agitated,
and I was having even more tenderness,
and it was just extreme.
So, I happened to look on the box,
and I saw that it was more than the other patch.
It was a stronger patch.
So, I text her, and I said,
this patch is stronger than the other patch,
and she said, yes, and I said,
well, the cardiologist said I had to stay on the weakest,
and she said, that is weak.
Well, I started to investigate.
No, it was the strongest.
One, I think one is the strongest.
I was on 0.075,
and then there's 0.050,
and then there's even, my one girlfriend,
she's on 0.014.
So, I guess there are five different strengths,
and I was on the highest,
and she started me on the second from the highest.
Had I investigated myself, I would have known these things.
But anyway, that really did not sit well with me at all.
So, I talked to Lou about it, and I said, Lou,
because for those of you who are new and don't know,
Lou is a urologist, surgeon,
and practiced for 30 some odd years, okay?
And I said to him, Lou,
when you have a patient that comes in,
do you discuss when you are going to change their medicine
in regard to the type or the strength?
And he said, yes.
I said, is that normal for practicing doctors?
And he said, yes.
And I said, well, she didn't do that.
She did not discuss with me
that it was going to be a stronger dose.
And he had his opinion, and I said,
I kind of, that rubs me the wrong way.
And I had wanted to wean off anymore.
I didn't like the way I was feeling,
so I wanted to wean off.
Plus, I gained 10 pounds, and I felt bloated,
and constipation set in, all kinds of things
that were part of perimenopause
were all coming back only stronger.
And then I read up on weaning off,
and you can't just go off of them.
However, I was only on them for two and a half months.
So, in that case, it's easier to wean off,
because if you just go cold turkey
after you've been on them for a year or two years,
you could go through menopause symptoms all over again.
So, I did text her, and I shared with her
that I wanted to wean off,
and I could tell that she was irritated.
And she said, then just do every other day.
And that's the tone that came across for me.
Maybe it wasn't the tone that she expected.
So, then I asked Lou, how should I wean off of these?
And he helped me.
So, I had been weaning off,
and I'm down to a quarter of a patch now,
and this is my last week of that.
And the progesterone, I think I started at 100,
I'm now at 150.
From what I have been reading,
you can be on progesterone all by itself,
because it does help with sleep.
And also, the testosterone, I don't feel I need,
because I don't really think it's not really going,
I don't think it's gonna help me, okay?
So, I weaned off.
That's where I am with hormone replacement therapy.
It's not for me, my friends.
It's not for me.
Now, sleeping, I'm gonna do another video on that,
because I do have remedies
that are helping me sleep deeply, okay?
And in no way am I knocking hormone replacement therapy.
If it works for you, it works for you.
Oh, here's another reason,
another factor that played into it.
I went to have my mammogram in Buffalo,
which I do every single year.
And I have very dense tissue, very dense.
So, I have the mammogram, I have an ultrasound,
and then every couple of years, they do an MRI on me.
I've had to have biopsies,
because they can't read really well
what's going on in the tissue, if it's so dense.
So, when I was there, I said,
she said, has anything changed?
And I said, well, I'm on hormone replacement therapy.
And she said, what?
I said, I'm on hormone replacement therapy.
She said, someone like you should not be on estrogen.
She did not say all of them.
She said, estrogen.
And I said, but why?
And she said, I know they've removed the black box.
She said, but there are still things that come into play.
She said, you have extreme, this is the radiologist.
She said, you have extreme breast tissue as it is.
Very hard for us to read.
She said, estrogen will make them even denser.
She said, so, I would caution you.
And I said, okay.
And I talked to Lou about it.
And I had just, I think I had already decided,
because of all the symptoms, that I was ready to come off.
So again, I'm not knocking hormone replacement therapy.
It's just not for me.
Okay, so that is where I am with that.
I also haven't had any bullocks in a very long time.
And I was going to not have any more right here,
but I really don't like this right here.
But so far, I'm not doing anything.
Anyway, so that is it for the hormone replacement therapy
and where I'm at.
Okay, so next up, we're talking hair, okay?
A new product I want, a new product for me
that I wanted to share with you.
And I will say, these were sent to me.
Nothing was asked of me.
And this is the Crown Affair shampoo and conditioner,
but it's the hydrating shampoo
and the hydrating conditioner.
Gives shine and weightless hydration, okay?
And the hydrating conditioner
is smoothing with weightless hydration.
You know I like me some big hair.
This is, I just threw it out of the rollers.
But I mean, just really, I mean, it is a great,
great shampoo.
While we're talking about hair,
I wanted to let you know that the turbans
from Silk and Pure are back in stock.
They sell out every single time she gets them.
And I think, I'm not sure if it's down below
next to the link, I'll check with her.
You can use the code TAMMY20.
These are fabulous.
I have a few, and I have some in Buffalo and some here.
And so I could just throw this on tonight,
go to bed like this,
and it'll keep my hair looking really purdy, okay?
So love, love, love this.
But the hydrating shampoo and conditioner,
I like it so much that I have the volumizing shampoo
and conditioner coming.
Now I also, now this is for,
it's the smoothing air dry cream from Crown.
I put it on my towel dry hair and blow dry
just to see what it would do.
And it didn't weigh my hair down,
but I guess this is to be used,
like if you have curly hair,
you can go ahead and put this on and let it air dry.
And then like the next day,
if you're someone who doesn't wash your hair every day,
you can spritz it with water and just revive your curls.
So if you're someone who uses this
the way it's supposed to be used,
let us know if it works.
But the shampoo and conditioner,
the hydrating is fabulous.
And I will keep you up to date
if the volumizing is just as good.
Nice smell, nice lather.
The smell is not overpowering.
Doesn't weigh the hair down at all.
I don't even have hairspray on it yet.
Just really a fabulous, fabulous shampoo.
And this is my second time using it and I loved it, okay?
What else did I want to share with you?
The nails, I did want to say
that if you're someone that doesn't like to use the glue,
now I haven't tried these,
but I ordered them when I saw this on Instagram, the nails.
This is from Curve Life and it's their Tab Queen.
Damage-free, strong hold, ultra thin, seamless fit,
multi-size adhesive tabs.
So you would not even have to glue if you didn't want to.
Now I'm going to try these and see how they work,
but I'm not sure.
And I wanted to share this with you.
Now, I'm not, I love natural deodorants,
but to be honest with you, they make me stink.
I never, I have, I mean, I have very few that I can use.
The Cyclar, but I have to blow dry it.
The Cyclar, I have to dry down completely
or it does not work as well for me.
If I dry it down completely, they work for me,
but most of them give me B.O.
I know there's some of you out there that feel the same way.
So these were also sent to me.
Now I haven't tried all the scents,
but I tried this one and they come in tubes like so.
Now these are their sample tubes.
I don't know if they're sold in a set or not,
but this is just the stopper.
It comes out and then let me show you
what the deodorant's like.
The deodorant is a cream that you rub on
and it's actually, it's kind of thick,
but it dries down immediately
and it has a really pretty smell, this one.
I like it.
They all have their own scent,
but I will keep you posted on this.
I'll put it in an annotation
because I won't be editing this video
until end of day today.
So I'll know, but right now I have it on
and it didn't leave,
it's not leaving any white rim on my sundress,
which I'm going to actually talk to you about.
And it has really, it's kept me dry so far.
And I wanted to mention this sundress
is the same as the blue one that I once shared with you.
Let me turn the camera and see if I can show you it.
It's just, now these aren't the shoes I'll wear with it.
These are just what I wear around the house with it.
But this has pockets.
It's very loose.
It is just a really nice sundress.
Very, very affordable.
I love that it's loose and flowy.
It's long.
I love that.
And it has the pockets.
It's very, very comfortable.
It's lightweight.
It's very soft.
I got it in every design I like.
This is a white one.
This one I'm wearing,
we're going out to Frank's for burgers
and I'm going to wear this one tomorrow night.
And I also have it in navy blue.
Oh, that's, no, that's a different dress.
That's a knock around.
This one, I do have it in navy blue in the laundry.
This is in black.
And I also ordered, I believe,
a light blue and a rose color one that's coming.
And I'm often asked about bras, what bras I'm wearing.
Let me turn this back.
Now, today I'm wearing a different bra.
Again, this was sent to me.
Nothing was asked of me.
They simply said, would you like to try some of my bra?
If you like them, you can go ahead and share them.
If not, we appreciate you trying them.
This brand is called Harper Wilde.
Okay, Harper Wilde.
And what the hook means, I never knew this.
So, you know how we get the three different hooks here?
Says, most people don't realize why bras have three hooks.
Do you?
I did not.
Elastic stretches over time,
so you need to tighten your band
to receive the same support.
Start on the loosest hook and move inward every two months.
After that, it's time to set her free.
Recycle your bra with us and refresh.
And this is called, the one I'm wearing today is,
and I got it in a 36C
because hormone replacement has made the girls grow.
They will shrink back down, I'm hoping.
But I got the 36C because they're very tender
and I don't like that.
And this is the Base Demi Push-Up Bra.
And I just really liked them.
So I also, this one I wore yesterday.
This is just their,
I think they're called Triangler, Triangle Bra,
but it's really nice.
This is what it looks like.
And I liked it because it's low cut.
I love the Honey Love,
but they're not low cut enough.
Not that I wear anything low cut,
but every now and then you need something
that's just a little lower cut.
And this one cuts down to here.
Okay, so that's where it cuts down.
I'm not someone to come on camera with just my bra on,
so I'm never gonna do that.
But anyway, really, really like it.
So I started on the loose one
that I will change in two months if it stretches.
But this was very, very comfortable to wear.
I did, and you machine wash these with cold water
with similar colors, gentle cycle.
You don't bleach, you don't have to iron,
you don't have to dry clean,
and you just tumble dry as normal.
And this is really, really nice.
Very, very comfortable.
No wire in this.
I don't know, if you have real big girls,
real, meaning not implants,
this might not be enough support for you.
But if you have implants,
I know this is a little higher than the natural,
so it might work for you.
I don't know.
But for me, I have more width than I do volume, I guess.
So I need it to really cover over here
than I need it to do any supporting,
because I'm not big enough.
Anyway, okay, and then the last thing
I want to share with you,
I shared these with you last year, and I love this.
I absolutely love these.
I wear them all the time.
When I'm not wearing my sundress,
this is what I have on with a tank top.
They are comfortable.
They're great for walking the dog.
If you're a tennis player, they are going to be great,
because they're actually made for tennis.
But these are the Viota, Viotia, or Vidia.
I'm not sure what it is.
I think it's Viotia Venture into the Ease.
Anyway, these are those skirts
that I shared with you last year
that have the biker shorts underneath,
and they have pockets, and they are just fabulous.
So I got some new prints.
I got this one, and then I got this one,
and I think this one's the same.
I did have one new brand that I tried.
Yeah, this one is a new brand.
Okay, so these are, now this is the flare skirt.
So this one's a little looser
instead of being a more straight fitted.
This is A-line, but I really liked it,
and I think that's the Viota.
Hang on, let me check.
Yep, it is, and then I got this one as well.
I love them.
Now, this is a different brand,
and in this one, I had to get the large.
These, I get the medium, and this one here,
I just liked the print.
It does fit me well,
so I'll probably get a couple more of these.
I just love them.
They all have the biker shorts underneath.
They all have pockets, which are nice.
These are great for me for walking the dog.
They're great here in Florida, absolutely great,
and they don't, they're not too short.
Let me turn my camera a little bit here.
This is, whoops, this is where they would hit me,
just above the knees.
These are the 20-inch, which I like.
I don't like anything up like this short
because I just don't like that part of my leg
showing for everybody to see,
and this video has gone much longer than I thought it would,
but it's okay.
I just wanted to chit-chat with you,
share a few things that went on in my life.
My stay in Buffalo was okay.
I prefer here in Florida for many reasons.
I just find it to be so peaceful here,
and I just love it.
I absolutely love it here,
and some people just hate the heat.
It does not bother me.
I guess I just know how to prepare for it, you know?
Lots of sunscreen, lots of hats,
and little tiny outfits that are very lightweight
because here it's true.
You need to wear less clothes.
That's why I love these dresses.
They don't cling, and you just, you know,
you got your bra and your panties underneath,
and then you just have your shoes, and that's it.
It's just a really comfortable dress to wear,
and I think when you wear things like this,
it's, you're intentional with putting your outfit together.
Like, I'll have a pretty tank on with it,
and then my shoes will match,
and it's just really, you know,
I walked out of the house, and I tried,
and the same with the sundress.
You know, I'm not gonna get all decked out
in suits and layers of clothing for this weather.
I'm just not, so this way, it's still a presentable look,
and even if I decided to pull my hair up
and just do it in a twist and get it all up,
it's still a presentable look for me,
and that is it for today's video.
I would like to know what your experience
with hormone replacement therapy has been.
What was the cost for you, or what are you paying a month?
Are you able to get bioidentical hormones
at your local CVS or whatever your drugstore is?
Because I know there are several women
that pay nothing for their hormone replacement therapy,
and then there are those of us,
because I do have a friend, she lives in Buffalo,
but she orders hers through Texas,
and she does, she pays not as much as I was paying.
She didn't have a membership fee,
but she, I think she pays out of pocket
for her hormone replacement therapy.
It's somewhere just about $100 a month
or something like that, but that's not what I,
my meds were about 167 with the 275 added on
every single month, okay?
Now, I know people don't have that kind of money,
so how are women supposed to feel good
if it's that much money, okay?
Get them prices down, my friends, get them down.
All right, that's it.
If you haven't already subscribed,
I would love to have you as an ageless beauty.
Hit that subscribe button, and the bell right next to it
is supposed to notify you of all the videos
that I'm putting up.
Until the next time, my friends,
go out in the world, be lovable,
and remember, it is okay to love our age.
Well, I'm gonna extend this video
just a little bit longer.
I talked about, I said that I was gonna talk
about feeling old, and lately,
I have been feeling a little old.
I think it's because of the hormone replacement therapy.
I think it's because I have stopped the Botox in my 11s,
and I think it's because when we were
at the rehearsal dinner, this older gentleman
came up to me, and he said,
are you the grandmother of the bride?
And if I was the grandmother of the bride,
that means I'm the mother to her mother,
and her mother is, I think, 56 years old,
but then I thought about it.
I said, well, you could've started early, Tammy,
so you could be the grandmother,
but I think he was judging me by my hair color.
What say you?
All right, my friends, that's it for today.
I love you all.
Bisous.
