Really good, I mean, we watched him, got better at things.
I just feel like the offense coming together more, getting underneath our feet
still, still waiting for more rooms to improve.
I feel like we're coming though, yeah, we're getting there.
Yesterday he said the wide receivers have been average so far.
Is that something to support you guys on and get you going?
No, yeah, for sure.
We took a real heat to that, I feel like, cuz we're not an average group.
And on any team, the receiver's gotta be the standard too.
I feel like they're the ones that make the most plays, get the most fame and
popularity and stuff.
People don't see that, the other people on the side, I mean, I'm chill.
Day one to day four, how are you feeling both mentally and physically?
Mentally, I'm just on my feet at really just trying to get everybody better on me.
Cuz I'm an older guy, I feel like I just need to be leading,
getting people around me better, that's it.
What's been your impression of Geocontosis so far?
Still the same thing, like I said in the spring, still a dog,
still come with that mindset, ready to work every day, wanna get better.
That's just him.
Kamari Smith just had three catches in a row, and that kinda,
what have you seen from him as a receiver at that tight end position?
I feel like tight end slash, they're a slash receiver.
They gotta be able to block and catch.
I feel like they're an improvement, great catches.
And I'm proud of that man, see how hard he worked too.
How's your timing look with JC right now?
How would you rate it, a one to ten, and
what's the next step to take with that timing?
Ten out of ten, I feel like me and that guy got a great connection.
Still working on some things that we need to fix cuz he just need to improve.
Yeah.
In physical and practice, do you like that?
And who do you think is talking the most out there?
I feel like him right there, Kenny, he talk a lot of stuff.
But me just being physical in practice, that's just what I do, I'm a big body.
I gotta insert my dominance anywhere, I feel like that's just me, personally.
Yeah, when you receive a room, who do you think talks the most?
We don't talk the most, we just let our work talk.
What's been the biggest thing you've tried to work on
the last couple of months coming out of spring?
Me, personally, like I said, just leading and being on my feet and
just helping the team get better in any way I can.
I feel like just taking care of my body and
just being more of a mental aspect more than physical.
The game will slow down for me eventually, which it does.
That's just me just learning the offense still and getting better every day.
You're a lot different than Cyrus Allen, I bet his background and
yours are very similar.
Have you paid attention to what he's been doing, and is that motivation?
No, yeah, I definitely seen what he was doing.
I heard around, he had a chip on his shoulder everywhere he went.
They didn't invite him to the, I mean, they invited him to the senior bowl,
I think, and he said that was only, he just needed the opportunity.
And when he got his opportunity, he showed himself.
You've had a unique journey to where you're at right now.
How have you been able to play on that experience from as well in the last year
to help with this transition?
Just, at the end of the day, football is football.
I feel like me, really, just going out there and
do what I've been doing since I was young, it's no different, I feel like.
Might be bigger stadium, bigger crowd or whatever, but no,
just me playing the game of football that I love.
What kind of mindset does a wide receiver one in this offense need to have to
kind of have that authority and dominance?
Doing your job, as long as you do your job, I feel like that's the main thing.
If I got a fourth block, I gotta go make that fourth block.
If I gotta catch the big play, I gotta make the big play.
That's the main thing, I feel like.
Thanks, guys.
Thanks, JV.
Thank you.
