EPCOT in the RAIN! 🌧️ Disney World, Good Food & Time With Friends | Disney Vlog

Welcome in everybody! Today we are heading into Epcot, my favorite park. I'm so excited to be back here and today is going to be special because I am hanging out with my friends and we are going to be experiencing Disney through the eyes of a child. I'm meeting up with my friend Brittany today and her two girls. She has two-year-old twins and they love Disney. They love everything related to the parks. Epcot is actually their favorite park. They requested this park today so we're going to be doing whatever it is that they want to get up to and I always love when we do a park day together because it's just so fun to see the things that they get excited about. You guys have to let me know if you've done Disney with kids before and your favorite memories in the parks with them. So it should be a really good day. Let's head into Epcot. Oh this is my first time seeing this. I saw this online. If you guys remember this winter we had a very big frost that came through central Florida and it actually killed off the palm trees that were right here in the front and they replanted them. Look at the palm trees. They look so good. That makes me happy that they are back. I have missed seeing these palm trees here. Now I'm not up on my palm varieties but I know that these are different than the palm trees they had before. They had like the really tall skinnier palm trees before. These are very pretty. I feel like they're going to provide more shade as well as they get bigger. There's your Epcot palm update of the day. But I'm heading up here to meet up with the girlies. Let's see how long Spaceship Earth is. That's usually an indicator of how busy this park is. 20 minutes, not bad. Okay first thing we're going to do, we're going to go inside of Communicor. Right now they have this for cool kids summer so this is a really fun play zone for kids. Oh it's nice and air-conditioned in here too. This is nice. We were saying it is like humid today. Oh yeah here comes Goofy. We're currently doing a freeze dance game. This area is so cute. The girls got to dance with Goofy. Now we're actually going to go next door because they have, oh yeah right over here I think, they have the character meet and greet spot here and I believe they have like four different characters that meet. There's Minnie, Mickey. I wonder who we're going to see girls. I think Goofy might, yeah. This is it right here. The character spot. We have a new plan. We just saw the Encanto show and the girls requested Encanto. Next up we're going to ride Figments. It's about listening with your imagination. Now I've completely lost my train of thought. No you haven't. For every sound your ears are hearing a thousand thoughts. We with our eyes can control the eyes of the imagination. Let's begin by using the eye chart to test your vision. Oh there's Figments. Look he's sneaking over. You can see things differently. Sure you can see with your eyes but imagine what you could see if you used your imagination. I'm a raptor. Figments this is not a good time. It's always a good time. So let the good times roll. We just rode Figments ride and now we are in line to see Figments. The girls love Figments. They're girls after my own heart. Is Figment gonna put bows on? Well that was precious. Oh here it's gonna come. This is the most old school Epcot thing. I love this here. The jumping water. That one's having a little issue at the moment. Oh yeah let's go over here. We'll jump over. We found the one that jumps over. Whoa look at that. That one jumped high. Next up we are gonna ride the living with the land boat ride. My favorite. Look there's Pluto. Do you see him? Pluto's up there. The forces at work on the land agriculture are exploring innovative ways to produce pellets now and into the future. All they need to make flour for baking. Well Brittany and the girls have headed out for the afternoon. I want to get some lunch but I came out of the land pavilion and it is pouring down rain. I actually went in and watched the awesome planet movie hoping that that would pass the time and then I would come out and like magically the rain would have stopped because sometimes it does work that way. Florida's known for very fast rainstorms but this week has been very rainy and I just came out here hoping it was gonna be clear skies and it is still raining but I looked at the forecast and it looks like there's about to be rain for the entire next hour and it's like right now not coming down that hard so I think I need to just commit to it and if I want to get to the next location I really want to go to the Mexico pavilion and get the food over there so I think I just need to make a break for it so we're gonna do an iPhone rain vlog. Who remembers the other night if you saw that vlog when I was at the water park? Sometimes you just have to commit to it. You just have to be one with the elements. Of course today is a day that I did not bring my umbrella into the park. It was in the car. I actually looked at it and I thought oh we're just popping in here. I don't think they're calling for anything. Rookie mistake. Rookie mistake. But you can see it's not horrible right now. I think I can get to my next location. Oh yeah this isn't too bad at all. This is good. During Mary's bachelorette weekend we had the nachos from just the quick service here in Mexico and it like reignited my love of the quick service in Mexico at the Mexico pavilion. The food here is really good. You can get the kids entrees come with like chips and queso on the side. Really good value and yeah I have been craving this. Also another palm tree update right here kind of across from imagination pavilion and up there is the whole communi-cor area. They added three palm trees right here. Those look very nice. I feel like that's going provide some nice shade as well. There's your palm tree update number two of the day. Now I'm curious is there more palm tree updates around here? I had seen online about the ones up at the front entrance but I didn't know about these. Believe it or not food and wine will be starting in like less than three weeks. It begins on August 27th this year. Can I believe we're already back into Halloween season food and wine season? It is wild. Oh yeah this is fine. It's just like a light little mist right now. This is good. I'm glad that I made made the break for it when I had the opportunity because it looks like the next hour it's like a 95% chance of more rain so we gotta we gotta make our little breaks when we can. Speaking of food and wine we got the food and wine festival booths out here and here is the Mexico quick service La Cantina. They've got tacos, nachos, churros, the kids meals. They also have margaritas over here. You can get anything you want over here. It is all excellent. I just got my food. This is the rainy day hack. So during the daytime they will sometimes open up the A La Hacienda restaurant, the sit-down restaurant. They will open it up for additional seating. There's like a little door outside in the La Cantina quick service area that you can then come inside here and you get nice air conditioning. You're out of the rain, out of the elements. So I'm gonna just get inside here and get to enjoy my food. It's so nice in here. I have dined in here before a couple years ago and it was really good. Me and Brittany were just talking about we both never dined at the table service restaurant that's inside of the pyramid. That is still on my list that I need to check off one day but this is the kids meal. You get a ton of food. Look at this. This is $9.50. You get two empanadas, queso, the chips, a drink, and a little fruit pouch for $9.50. Well that was an excellent meal. It downpoured once again while I was in there and I was waiting. We have an opportunity that it's now just drizzling again so we can move to the next spot. I want to go ride the Grand Fiesta tour because you know like when in Rome, when in Mexico, this is just how you have to start off the world showcase. You see this is the restaurant right here, the Saint Angel Inn. I need to eat here. I would love to if I dine here. I really would love to sit right on the water here. It's just like Blue Bayou out in Disneyland. Okay let's go check on the rain situation. It doesn't look too bad. Let's see. Is it still raining? Oh not bad, not bad. I think we can keep taking a stroll around World Showcase. Oh there's some thunder but I think we're gonna try to make a lap. We're gonna do a lap of the showcase and then I do want to go inside of Creation Shop because if you remember in one of the previous videos my family was in town and they so kindly treated me to some early birthday gifts and I got an earring set. I'll pop it up, the one that I got, and unfortunately it's damaged. The one gold earring, it would not come off. Like it is clamped shut. Tried absolutely everything to try to get the thing off. That thing is stuck on there and then the other ones that did come off are kind of flimsy, the clasps. So I'm going to return it and let them know that it's damaged and then I think I'm going to use that credit to do a little shopping because now with the Halloween collection there is actually a pair of Halloween earrings that I really like. So I'm like maybe I'll go with that instead. Look at this, a rainy World Showcase. This is very peaceful. This could be like a screensaver. Okay back over to the iPhone. The rain's picking up a little bit more now. Not too bad. The white birds at Epcot seem to be enjoying it. They're still flying about. Oh shout out to my new friends I just met from Buffalo. You guys were so sweet. It was nice getting to chat for a second. We're all like ducking the rain right now. That was so nice getting to chat with you. There's a couple of the white birds back there. The rain is definitely coming down more now. Maybe I should have retreated back the other way but I hadn't like determined. I was like I would like to walk the World Showcase today. So here we are in the rain. We're just, we're committed at this point. I have a hat that's like a little bit of rain coverage. It's like an umbrella so it is what it is. So like we're good. I'm excited to go shop now. I'm looking forward to getting into creations and figuring out what I want to pick out. I might go with one of the pieces from the Halloween collection. Honestly the parks in the rain can be really beautiful and I feel like sometimes you have people that go back during the rain so wait times can be lower and there can be a benefit to being in the park in this type of weather. Also you have all the lighting rods around like I always feel very safe in a Disney park in a thunderstorm. Like Disney really thinks about all those things. I really do think one of the safest places you can be in a storm is Disney. Over that way we have some blue skies so hopefully this is passing by. Like there is, I was just saying that, there is a benefit to the rain. Us Disney people we know. The rain's getting a bit heavier now. I might duck inside. I'm in the perfect spot. I'm gonna go inside of the Japan pavilion to the Misakishi store. They always have stuff to look at in here. Look at these things. They're so cute. These are called posture pals. I looked at this the last time I was in here and basically you're supposed to hold it so that you don't hunch over. I need this when I edit. You hold like this little stuffy and it's supposed to support your posture when you're working. They're very cute. They have the little shark. All the cats are dressed up like something. This one's dressed up like a shark. Then this one is dressed up like a chicken. I feel like the shark is the cutest one. And this is always iconic in here. The pearl experience. The pick a pearl. Oh they have some things out here that you can get pre-made jewelry. The rings are pretty. The neat thing with the pick a pearl back here is that you never know exactly what you're gonna get because you pick out your oyster and I've seen like one time I did it I got a grapefruit. They have pink pearls. I've seen before that people have gotten twins which is you can get two pearls. I would love to get twins one day and I'd love to make earrings with them. Let's see what the next person gets. It's always fun just to come and watch this experience. I love that they added the camera back here so you can watch what they're doing. So yeah it's always like a thrill. You never know exactly what you're gonna get. They have so many beauty products in here recently. I need to research more about all of these things. I feel like today's video has kind of turned into making the most of a rainy day in Epcot. A rainy day in the parks. You can make it work. You can. The Disney ducks are unbothered by the rain. This is just like nap time for them. These guys are loving it. You know what I might pop inside of this gift shop here because I think they have jewelry at the port of entry. I don't know how much of a selection they have. Maybe I should just stick with, I don't know, should I just stick with creation shop where I think they'll have everything? Maybe I'll do that. That's the safe bet because then I think I am gonna start making my way back to the car because this does not look like it's getting better anytime soon. Okay we made it up to creations. Let's go shop. Oh that popcorn smells really good. There's certain days it smells more buttery than others. Right now the butter is buttering. I found them. This is actually the last pair of the ghosties so I think it's meant to be. All right I did my exchange. That worked out perfectly and I cannot believe that was the last pair of the little ghost earrings. I'm actually, you guys will be seeing this video after the fact because I'm gonna put up my Halloween party video before this one but upon filming this my Halloween party is tomorrow so I think I'm gonna wear the ghosty earrings for that occasion. Well I am back in the car now. The rain really started to come down now so I'm gonna go ahead and make my way back home but this was so fun getting to have some time this morning with my friend and her girls and just getting to hang out. Getting to see Disney through the lens of kids is always so much fun and just the things that they get excited about like meeting the characters and all that so that was a really good time and then got to just enjoy a nice little rainy day stroll throughout world showcase but I hope you all enjoyed the video.
