Raiders DE Keyron Crawford Learning from Maxx Crosby

What's the experience been like for you? It's been really good, just being able to get adjusted, being able to be a part of the team, but also being able to be around a good group of guys to develop and crack that egg shell and just come out of my comfort zone and get better used to the guys. And what way have you come out of your comfort zone so far this year? Yeah, it's really just more so just the hesitation, just being able to play fast and physical and remember the basics and remember the things that I got drafted for. It's definitely different, but it's also just being able to compete with the guys and being able to know it's all about the team. Just being able to look at the bigger picture and know that the end goal is just to win. You're heading into your first ever court practice. What are some things that have told you to expect and how to handle it? It's just going to be intensive and have great competition. So it's just going to be a dogfight. How are you looking to make it bigger in this opportunity? Just being able to stick to what I'm told and what I've been taught. Nothing's going to change as far as the work ethic and the things that all the guys come in here and put the work in to do. So we're all going to play as one and compete. You talked about in the spring reaching out to Max and trying to learn things from training camp. What have you picked up from him and what's your relationship with him? Max, he's very dedicated and intentional in everything he does. I just sit back and observe and take what I can and apply it to my own. But just having a guy like that to be around and study and just being able to watch and take from him is definitely honorable. Are there any other veterans that you're learning from other than Max Crosby? Every veteran. Broad receiver, defense, offense, quarterback position. They all speak vocally. They all have those leadership traits and have that winning mentality. That's going to change the program.
