Now sticking with Florida, big news out of that state with Trump-backed Byron
Donald winning the GOP primary to succeed Ron DeSantis as Florida governor.
John, he'll be facing Democrat David Jolly and Donald won very easily there.
How do you see that race? Florida was long looked at as a swing state,
as a purple state, but under Ron DeSantis it became firmly red.
Yeah, I mean, Florida is a red state. Ron DeSantis is tremendously popular.
Byron Donald is a prominent congressman. He was the favorite in that race.
Trump did endorse him. What I thought was more interesting was that Ron DeSantis
did not endorse anybody in that race, even though Donald's main opponent
was DeSantis's own lieutenant governor, Jay Collins. And I suspect that a lot of
Florida Republicans saw DeSantis not endorsing his own lieutenant governor
as giving them the green light to vote for Byron Donald.
Now, John, this story is incredible. Only in California, a San Francisco high school
where students get top grades just for showing up, has the highest acceptance rate in California
to the prestigious University of California, Berkeley, the John Mission High School,
where 94% of students flunk maths, has the highest Berkeley acceptance rate. How can this be, John?
Well, Rita, it's all about race quotes. The US Supreme Court has made it clear
that public universities like Berkeley cannot engage in race discrimination,
which is what they want to do. So what they have done instead is to abandon
all academic standards so they can admit more minority students. And in particular,
they have stopped using the SAT and the ACT admissions tests. And the result of that is
that they have freshmen enrolling at Berkeley in calculus classes who don't know how to multiply.
And so the quality of education at universities like the University of California has declined
disastrously. So if you don't look at SATs or other entrance scores, how do you determine is
it simply based on DEI factors, the backgrounds of the candidates? Because if you don't look at
academic results, I'm really struggling to understand how you admit students. How do you
pick one over the other? Well, they look at grade averages too. And of course, that's why that
terrible high school in San Francisco gets all those kids in because they give them all A's.
And there's no test to really differentiate those who are good students from those who are not.
It's a ridiculous situation. Now, we've sadly have got more Rosie O'Donnell coming up later
in the program. But I wanted to ask about something she said to Variety magazine about
two prominent Jewish Americans, Barry Weiss and David Ellison, who she claims are cozying
up to Trump. And she said this, she said, there are people who are sidling up to him, that being
Donald Trump, and history will record all of their names, what they did and who they stood next to.
If you're in a room with 10 Nazis at a table, and you're the only one who's not,
there's a pretty good chance you're a Nazi. John, ABC think this lunatic is fit to host a program
at the moment. This cheapening of the term Nazi is dangerous.
Well, of course, it's an absurd smear. But Rosie O'Donnell is not alone. I think every
Republican presidential candidate since Thomas Dewey in 1948 has been denounced as a
Nazi by the Democrats. And even though it's crazy, yes, it can be dangerous.
Ryan Rao, who's the guy who tried to assassinate President Trump in Florida,
said he did it because Trump was like Hitler. Well, where did he get that idea? He got it
from the leaders of the Democratic Party, who say it all the time. And of course,
the people who tried to assassinate Hitler went down in history as heroes. And those are the
people that this would be assassin was trying to emulate. And she's not just making this accusation
against Donald Trump, because we've heard that from her approximately 200,000 times.
But she's calling David Ellison and even Barry Weiss, who is a left leaning, you might call her
a centrist, but she's Jewish. She's a lesbian. And Rosie O'Donnell is calling her a Nazi. I mean,
that to me just shows you how they're completely devaluing that word and stripping it of all
meaning, all impact. Yeah, those words have lost all meaning. It's like calling somebody a jerk.
I mean, all it means is they don't like them. And other than that, there's no content at all.
John Heideracker, thank you so much for your time.
