Emails that I'm now getting, Dr. McCullough, are I've taken the shot. I thought I was doing the
right thing. I'm getting some, you know, experiencing some difficulties. What are
you suggesting now to your patients to do to mitigate the damage? As an internist and cardiologist,
I get that question all the time in the office and it's not the fault of the public. The public
was doing what they were, you know, told to do. They took the shots early. Many people early in
2021 took one or two shots. Then they learned about safety, as we all did, and they didn't
take any more. The first point is that it looks like the toxicity and the side effects are
cumulative. So the first point is don't take any more shots because with each shot, the risks
become successively greater for all the serious complications. The second point is to be vigilant,
meaning that some of these complications are easily treatable. Let me give you an example.
You get on a plane and you get off the plane and one leg is more swollen than the other.
Think a blood clot. Recently, Wu and colleagues from the FDA published in the peer-reviewed
literature a report on thousands of blood clots after vaccination. In this case, the Janssen
vaccine, which would be similar to your AstraZeneca vaccine. And there, they were reporting on ankle
to hip blood clots, giant blood clots in living people. The FDA is reporting this, and 11% were
fatal. So people need to be vigilant. Same thing with chest symptoms. We recently had NBC anchor
Yasmin give her journey about myopericarditis and pericardial tamponade. She had to go to the
hospital three different times to get a doctor's attention, get transferred. Recently, UCSD
Department of Emergency Medicine here at NICU and colleagues reported the same thing. An 18-year-old
boy who had to come back three times finally is found to have nearly fatal heart problem.
So the point I'm making is be vigilant with respect to symptoms that one would expect,
blood clots, heart damage, and neurologic damage. And then lastly, people have been asking about
detoxification. How do they get it out of the body? Right now, we have no clinical trials. We have
some leads. One favorable lead is on a Japanese supplement called natokinase. It dissolves the
spike protein in preclinical studies, but it needs human studies in order to be advanced towards
recommendations. Now, it's a safe, over-the-counter supplement. Many are saying,
listen, we can't wait for this. We have to take action now. But the main points are stay away
from any more shots, be vigilant, and then do the best one can in terms of being healthy and allow
the body to detoxify.
