Experience a peaceful slow living day in the beautiful Cotswolds as late summer gently begins to turn into early autumn.
In today’s slow living vlog, we begin with a calm morning walk through Castle Combe, one of the most beautiful and picturesque villages in the Cotswolds. Surrounded by honey-coloured stone cottages, peaceful country lanes, greenery and the gentle sounds of nature, it feels like stepping into a little English fairytale.
After our peaceful Cotswolds walk, we return home for a quiet tea ritual shared with my cat — a simple moment to slow down, enjoy the stillness, and appreciate the comfort of everyday cottage life.
Later, we spend some time in my vegetable garden for an early autumn harvest. I pick fresh homegrown carrots straight from the garden, enjoying the simple pleasure of seasonal gardening and growing our own food as summer slowly gives way to autumn.
From garden to table, those freshly picked carrots come into my cozy cottage kitchen, where I bake my favourite carrot cake using homegrown, seasonal ingredients. With candles glowing and the house slowly becoming quiet for the evening, we spend a peaceful afternoon baking from scratch and enjoying the comforting rhythms of homemade food and simple living.
As the day comes to an end, the kitchen fills with the warm scent of carrot cake, candlelight and the cozy feeling of an early autumn evening at home — a gentle reminder that some of the loveliest moments are often the simplest ones.
Whether you’re looking for relaxation, cozy autumn inspiration, English countryside scenery, or simply a peaceful escape from everyday life, I hope this video brings you a little moment of calm.
