The C&E is back and so is some seriously fun carnival food.
From cotton candy jerk waffle dogs, to pickle and bacon iced coffee, and even a s'mores
fried chicken ice cream sandwich, this year's food lineup is crazier than ever but there's
something for everyone.
If you're a pickle lover, you're in for a treat because there's pickle cheesecake,
pickle pierogi spring rolls, and this delicious garlic parm twisted and battered pickle.
Now that's a mouthful.
For those with a sweet tooth, you'll find everything from mochi doughnuts, dot cake
push pops, deep fried s'moreos, and a Szechuan sizzle ice cream, which be aware, definitely
has a kick.
And if you haven't had the viral sushi pops yet, you can also find them here, as well
as a variety of the viral Japanese sandos.
And of course, there's some very Canadian creations like lobster on a stick and popcorn
falafel poutine.
But if you're not feeling quite that adventurous, there are plenty of somewhat more subdued
options too, like the carnival cone with candied yams and a mac and cheese ball, dunkaroo dipped
cheesecake, and mini Jamaican beef patty pierogies.
And to wash it all down, there's a kraft dinner smoothie, which actually wasn't as
bad as you'd think, as well as a cool nitro coffee cola flow and corn wasabi lemonade,
which was refreshing and much needed after all that eating.
Now if you're trying to make your CNY dollars go a little further, our best value picks
would have to include this huge, definitely shareable footlong butter chicken taquito,
the blue taki tenders, and the pickle pierogi spring rolls, all of which were $15 and under.
So what are you willing to try this year?
