AI GeneratedThis video provides a step-by-step guide on how to enable Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI interface on unsupported iPhones and iPads without requiring a jailbreak. By using a tool called Gestalt Edit to modify device eligibility information, users with older hardware can access AI features typically reserved for newer models.
Apple says your iPhone doesn't support Apple Intelligence, but in this video, I'm going
to show you how to turn it on anyway.
We're going to enable the new Siri AI interface and Apple Intelligence menu on an unsupported
iPhone or iPad, and the best part is, no jailbreak required.
This works by changing the device eligibility information that iOS uses to decide whether
Apple Intelligence should be available.
As you probably already know, Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI features are officially
limited to newer devices.
On iPhone, Apple currently supports iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the entire iPhone
16 lineup, and the newer iPhone 17 lineup and iPhone Air.
So if you're using something like an iPhone 15, iPhone 14, or another unsupported model,
Apple Intelligence normally won't even appear in your settings.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to enable Apple Intelligence and the new Siri
AI interface on an unsupported iPhone or iPad, without jailbreaking your device.
So, let's get started.
First, to enable Apple Intelligence or Siri AI on an unsupported iPhone or iPad, we're
going to need a tool called Gestalt Edit.
I've already tested this method on my device, and it worked perfectly for me.
So, the first thing you need to do is download the Gestalt Edit IPA file.
Because Gestalt Edit isn't available on the App Store, we need to sideload the IPA onto
our iPhone or iPad.
You can install it using different sideloading methods, such as eSign, or you can use iLoader
with a computer.
But in this video, I'm going to use iLoader, because the process is pretty simple and works
on both Windows and Mac.
So first, open your browser on your computer, and go to the official iLoader website.
From here, download the version for your operating system.
If you're using Windows, download the Windows version.
And if you're using a Mac, download the Mac OS version.
Once the download is finished, install and open iLoader on your computer.
Now connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer using a USB cable.
Make sure your device is unlocked.
Next, go back to iLoader on your computer.
Inside iLoader, sign in using your Apple ID.
Once your Apple ID is connected successfully, we can install Gestalt Edit.
In iLoader, click Import IPA.
Now select the Gestalt Edit IPA file that you downloaded earlier.
iLoader will now sign the IPA using your Apple ID and install it directly onto your iPhone
or iPad.
After a few moments, check your home screen and you should see the Gestalt Edit app.
Before opening it, you may need to trust your Apple ID developer certificate.
Go to Settings, hit General, then VPN and Device Management.
Under Developer App, tap your Apple ID, then tap Trust and confirm it one more time.
But before opening Gestalt Edit, we also need to enable Developer Mode.
On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings, hit Privacy and Security, scroll all the way down
and tap Developer Mode.
Turn Developer Mode on.
Now go back to your home screen and open Gestalt Edit.
Now we can move on to the next part and start configuring the device for Apple Intelligence.
Inside the app, you should see an option called Enable Siri AI.
But before you enable Siri AI, there are a couple of settings you need to change first.
First, go to Settings, hit Siri, then change the Siri language to English, United States.
Next, we also need to change the device region.
To make this part easier and keep the video short, you can follow the settings shown on
the screen right now.
These settings are important because Apple Intelligence availability can depend on the
language and region configured on your device.
Once you've changed the Siri language to English, inside Gestalt Edit, find Enable Siri AI and
turn the toggle on.
After that, scroll all the way down and tap Apply.
Gestalt Edit should now apply the changes to your device.
Once it's finished, you'll get a notification telling you that your iPhone or iPad needs
to be restarted.
So restart your device and let your device reboot normally.
After your device turns back on, then go to Settings.
Now, if everything worked correctly, you should see the new Apple Intelligence and Siri settings
available on your unsupported device.
One quick note, sometimes the changes don't appear immediately after the first restart.
So if you still see the old Siri settings, don't worry.
Simply restart your iPhone or iPad one more time, then check Settings again.
In my testing, it may take one or two restarts before the Apple Intelligence and Siri AI
options fully appear.
Now once Apple Intelligence and Siri appears in Settings, you're almost done.
At this point, your iPhone or iPad may still need to download the Apple Intelligence models
before Siri AI is fully ready to use.
You just need to wait for the download to finish.
You can also check the download progress by going to Settings.
Hit General and go to iPhone Storage.
From here, you should be able to see that additional Apple Intelligence data is being
downloaded to your device.
Once the download is finished, Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI should be ready to use
on your unsupported iPhone or iPad.
Now you can activate Siri and test the new Apple Intelligence experience on your device.
And as you can see, my iPhone 14 Pro now has Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI, even
though this device is not officially supported by Apple Intelligence.
I can open the Apple Intelligence and Siri settings, and when I activate Siri, you can
see the new Siri AI interface working directly on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Now this method is especially interesting for iOS 27, because Gestalt Edit was made
to work with supported iOS 27 beta versions.
At the time I'm making this video, the official Gestalt Edit GitHub page lists support for
iOS and iPad OS 27 beta 1 through beta 4, or newer update will support for next beta
version.
I highly recommend checking the official Gestalt Edit GitHub page before updating.
The developer posts the currently supported iOS builds there, along with changes, requirements,
and other important information.
Now there is one very important issue you need to know about before using this feature.
With the current method, enabling Siri AI through Gestalt Edit may cause Face ID to
stop working on some devices.
So if Face ID stops working after you enable Apple Intelligence, don't panic.
You can restore your original mobile Gestalt configuration using the backup created by
Gestalt Edit.
Open Gestalt Edit again, then go to the Backup tab.
Select your original mobile Gestalt backup and tap Restore.
After the restore is complete, restart your iPhone.
Once the device boots back up, Face ID should return to its original configuration.
However, there is one downside.
When you restore your original mobile Gestalt, you will also lose the Siri AI and Apple Intelligence
modification because your device is being returned to its original hardware configuration.
So at the moment, you basically have to choose between keeping this modification enabled
or restoring the original configuration if you need Face ID back.
Hopefully, the developer can improve this in a future update so we can keep Apple Intelligence
enabled while also keeping Face ID working normally.
And remember, Gestalt Edit is still under active development, so features, compatibility
and known issues can change with future releases.
That's why I recommend checking the official Gestalt Edit GitHub page before trying the
method, especially if you're using a newer iOS 27 beta.
Hopefully, future versions will make this process even better and allow Siri AI to work
without affecting Face ID.
And that's it.
That's how you can enable Apple Intelligence and Siri AI on an unsupported iPhone or iPad
without jailbreak using Gestalt Edit.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video.
