Air force major who pleaded guilty to illegally importing firearms sentenced to house arrest

Major Kendrick Barling has been sentenced to two years less a day of house arrest after pleading guilty to illegally importing firearms into Canada in 2023. Despite his decorated military career, Barling attempted to smuggle gun parts, some lacking serial numbers, while relocating to CFB Kingston. The Canadian Armed Forces have launched an administrative review into his conduct.
