The Magura series of unmanned surface vessels , which have undergone combat testing in Ukraine, has been expanded to include its largest member to date, TWZ reports.
The publication reported that the new MV11 is designed for open-ocean operations lasting up to a week and can carry a payload of up to 2,200 kilograms.
So far, the unmanned boat has been demonstrated in one configuration: equipped with 18 small vertical-launch Sting interceptors, turning it into a small floating anti-drone battery. "Given its significant payload capacity and other capabilities, it could be used in other roles," the article says.
It is noted that the MV11 was first presented to the public at the Independence Day parade in the capital, Kyiv. Unmanned aerial, ground, and maritime systems were key elements of the event, underscoring their key importance in the modern Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The naval portion of the parade, which took place along a section of the Dnieper River, also featured other members of the Magura family, as well as other unmanned marine vehicles, including kamikazes and vehicles armed with converted air-to-air missiles.

UFORCE was founded in Ukraine, but its head office is located in London, UK. It is often described as a defense conglomerate specializing in unmanned technologies, with several different companies operating under its umbrella.
The publication noted that many of its divisions are also located outside of Ukraine. For example, the main design and research bureau, which is developing the Magura series, is located in Portugal.
It is still unknown what specific detection and tracking capabilities the MV11 has. However, the unmanned surface vehicle (USV) has a mast at the stern, and available images show it is equipped with a camera turret, a navigation radar, and two other horn-shaped antennas.
"The camera system can be used to detect and track targets, as well as simply to improve situational awareness. Additional antennas can provide passive detection of airborne targets based on their signal emissions or serve other purposes," the publication explains.
The publication recalled that Ukraine already possesses unmanned surface vessels armed with traditional anti-aircraft missiles, which, according to the country, have been successfully used to shoot down Russian aircraft and helicopters.
