Statewide review targets automated tracking cameras

Arizona Attorney General Chris Mace has announced a statewide review of automated license plate reader (ALPR) technology. The investigation aims to determine if these surveillance tools infringe upon the privacy rights of citizens and violate Fourth Amendment protections, following reports of misuse and the cancellation of similar programs in Tempe and Cave Creek.
