Slow Living in the Finnish Countryside: Wild Raspberries from Forest to Table 🧺🌿

Hello my dear friends💛
Come along for a peaceful summer day in the Finnish countryside as we enjoy the simple beauty of raspberry season. 🌿
Hannu, Hilma, and I started the day with a quiet walk into the forest to gather fresh wild raspberries. There is something so special about picking berries straight from nature and bringing them home to turn into something delicious.
Back in the kitchen, I baked a moist Raspberry Almond Cake and enjoyed it with a refreshing homemade Fresh Raspberry Lemonade. I also prepared Hilma’s homemade meal with boiled sweet potatoes and chicken.
Later, I preserved some of our forest harvest by making low-sugar raspberry chia jam, and before the day ended, I baked homemade Raspberry Oat Cookies especially for Hilma. 🐾
A simple summer day filled with forest walks, seasonal cooking, baking, and quiet moments at home.
Before the day came to an end, I carefully packed and stored some of our wild raspberries in the freezer to enjoy during the long Finnish winter, a little taste of summer saved for the colder days ahead. ❤️
