Russia is likely preparing to intensify its hybrid warfare against the UK. Moscow is already discussing specific locations that could become potential targets for strikes. This was publicly stated by former Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Fyodorov. The Daily Mail learned the details . The Kremlin is preparing for hybrid aggression, that is, sabotage, arson, and other acts of indirect attack. Fedorov named Ukrspecsystems, a British-Ukrainian company that manufactures drones, as one of the possible targets. The production facility is located near RAF Mildenhall.
Fedorov also stated that Moscow considers the British defense company MBDA, which produces Storm Shadow cruise missiles, a potential target. The company is located in Stevenage. "Many experts in Moscow say: yes, this is a legitimate target. Absolutely," Fedorov said of MBDA. He also called Britain "enemy number one" for Russia and said there was "intense anger" in the Kremlin over Britain's plan to license the Storm Shadow to Ukraine. Threats against Britain have also been made in recent days by other high-ranking Russian officials, including the controversial Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova. "They must understand that they are playing with fire, and the consequences could be unpredictable," Zakharova said. In light of these threats, the British Ambassador to Moscow, Nigel Casey, sent a memo to British Foreign Office staff. In it, he noted that Russia, due to setbacks on the front lines, is escalating hybrid attacks in Europe. British officials were advised not to confirm or deny reports of the use of UK-supplied weapons in Ukraine. British officials, however, believe that Moscow does not currently desire a direct confrontation with NATO. However, such a possibility cannot be ruled out, as the Moscow regime's aggressiveness is growing due to military setbacks in Ukraine. British Defence Secretary Wes Streeting assured that London does not intend to abandon its support for Ukraine due to Russian threats.
