NJ Takes Kalshi Fight Higher

New Jersey has petitioned the Supreme Court to determine if states or the federal government should regulate prediction markets for sports-related event contracts. This follows conflicting rulings between the 3rd and 9th U.S. Circuit Courts regarding whether such contracts are federally regulated derivatives under the CFTC or subject to state sports betting laws.
