DoorDash Takes Up to 30%. I Built This Pizza Shop Its Own Ordering System.

DoorDash's own merchant page lists commissions of 15%, 25% and 30% depending on the plan you're on. On a $20 pizza that's $3 to $6 gone, on every single order.

So I built a pizza restaurant its own ordering page, put a kitchen screen behind it, and deployed the whole thing to a real web address. No code. About 15 minutes of build time.

I'm not telling anyone to cancel DoorDash. Those apps bring you people who've never heard of you. But your Friday regular already knows who you are, and you're still paying a cut on them every week.
