THE 'PERFECT' MTB WAS A BIG MISTAKE...URBAN DOWNHILL FAIL!

My 'perfect' Canyon mountain bike might have been the wrong bike for this crazy urban MTB downhill race in Les Deux Alpes, France! You can decide!

After racing the urban downhill it was time for the best trick event and with a fairly sketchy setup I threw down as many flips as possible but was it enough to take the win? The evnt took place in the small mountain town of Les Deux Alpes which has one of the biggest bikeparks ever and with a new £180 million gondola lift it would have been rude not to explore the mountain. We wnt up with around 25 other riders and took the freeride lines down and didn't really touch the official trails the whole way down, exploring the locals only lines was the mission of the day. The freeride potential at this place is incredible, see for your self!!!

My bike of choice was the brand new Canyon Torque, but i had modified it into a tiny freeride bike with mini mullet setup. 26 rear - 27.5 front. This made for some sketchiness on the race and the mountain and i have to admit that I made a mistake bringing the bike set up like this!
