By focusing on the breath and visualizing a loving white light, the practice encourages the surrender of clinging, desires, and anxieties, fostering a state of trust in the unfolding of life and a return to one's true inner being.
Begin this meditation by getting into a very comfortable position,
whatever that looks like for you. If you'd like to lie down, feel free to hit pause and
come back when you're ready. Once your body feels nice and relaxed, lovingly close your eyes
and begin to tune in to your breath and your body, centering your awareness down inwards
and dropping into your heart in the middle of your chest and a couple of inches inwards.
Let your breath and body relax. Feel a sense of expansion through your ribcage on every inhale
and contract on every exhale. Really let yourself sink into relaxation. On every exhale,
you are safe. You are loved all is well right now. You begin to feel as if you are surrounded
by a loving warm white light. You may notice a subtle shift in your energy, perhaps tingling
or a cooling sensation. What do you notice? Whatever you observe, just let it be.
Stay present in this feeling for just a moment. If any thoughts occur, that's okay.
Instead of getting wrapped up in them, just return to the sensations you're feeling.
As you feel yourself wrapped up in this loving energy, you're relaxing into the comfort of it
and you recognize that it is safe to let go, to surrender yourself to love. Letting go of any
needs, any wants, any feelings of not good enough. Surrendering everything that's bothering you
and relaxing into love and compassion. It's safe to give it up, to let go of that which
you no longer need, to let go of that which you're clinging onto, the strong desires you
can't let go of. In this moment, you know it's safe to let go, to surrender into love
for everything that's yours is still yours. Your deepest, most heartfelt desires are always yours.
There's nothing to cling to, nothing to force. They're coming to you in perfect timing,
so you can let go, you can trust, you can surrender and know that the clinging onto things
that energy only brings about more feelings of needing to cling to things.
But you are freer than that, you are safer than that. You can let go, surrender into love
and trust in the process and unfolding of life. There's nothing for you to hold on to,
nothing for you to force into being. You may even feel your body sinking down,
symbolic of letting go, feeling heavy and relaxed. It's as if you're not only surrendering inward
into love, but you're also surrendering into yourself, as if you are giving yourself back
to you, returning fully into your own being, returning home into you. Surrender is a sign
of trust, a commitment to you, to love, to knowing that all is working out for you
and you can't get it wrong, so you know it's safe to let go. There's nothing to lose,
nothing you can miss, it's all working out for you. There's no need to cling to anything
or try to force it into being. It is safe to let go and relax into life. You show the universe
that you trust it and you show your inner being, your divine wisdom that you trust it.
When you surrender, relaxing into what is, without holding on to any need,
outcome, surrendering into now. Stay with this feeling as long as you wish,
and when you're ready to come out of this practice, you can still carry with you this
energy of surrender, this energy of surrendering into trust, surrendering into love,
surrendering into the flow of life. You can carry that feeling with you as long as you wish.
To come out of this, begin to slowly roll your shoulders, wiggle your fingers and toes,
and as you're ready, slowly open your eyes back to the world around you.
