China Named A Patch Of Desert After An American Man, 26 Years Later It Turned To Forest

Located in a once desolate region of Inner Mongolia, the Chinese government named 1000 acres of desert after an American man, 26 years later it's a forest.

This is the inspiring true story of Ronald Sakolsky and Yin Yuzhen, who turned, a man-made desert, called the Mu Us Desert, also referred to as the Maowusu Desert, green over 26 years.

Declared to be the first desert in China to disappear.

But Ronald returned to the USA and the two heroes lost contact. 26 years later Yin posted an unexpected video that set off an international search. What began as a message to find a long-lost friend quickly unveiled a 40-year story of survival, hidden generosity, and an ecological breakthrough no one saw coming.

Approximately 400 hectares or 1000 Acres were transformed, which used to be completely devoid of trees and farmland, now it has become a green oasis, where farming is happening again. This remarkable restoration story is a perfect example of how it can be possible to bring life back to barren land and it would not of been possible, without the generosity of an American man, Ronald and the ingenuity of a Chinese woman named Yin.
