Foreign volunteers Orejas and Siete replenished the Ukrainian exchange fund with an enemy officer.

As the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade reported on its Telegram channel, these volunteers, part of the 1st Mechanized Battalion, were inspecting territory in the Donetsk region this summer.

They heard a suspicious noise in the basement of one of the houses and quickly asked over the radio if there were any neighboring units there. "After confirming that the enemy was inside, the fighters threw several grenades to demonstrate their seriousness. Afterward, they ordered surrender—and did so in Spanish. The occupier made the right choice and walked out with his hands raised," the statement reads.

Thus, as the brigade noted, the Russian invaders' hideout was successfully cleared, and the enemy officer was captured, which "significantly replenished the exchange fund."

As reported, at the end of July, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment announced that 64 Russians had been captured in the Zaporizhzhia direction . The Russian invaders were supposed to infiltrate behind Ukrainian lines undetected and search for drone crews, gather intelligence, and plant Russian flags for yet more propaganda videos about supposedly captured villages. But they were captured.

In September, Unian correspondent Dmitry Khiliuk, who visited Russian captivity , compared the conditions of detention of Russian prisoners and Russian mercenaries in Ukraine. All prisons built during the Soviet era look alike: the same gray, dreary fence, coils of barbed wire over it, small windows with rusty bars, metal doors, and an inconspicuous "front" entrance. But here, a simple sign announces that this is not a prison, but a prisoner-of-war camp. "Entrance for the people" is written on the doors through which visitors enter the camp. And they are seen here often. Diplomats, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and human rights organizations come to the camp for holy water. The number of parcels sent to prisoners of war is unlimited—even daily. And many take advantage of this. How? Relatives of Russian occupiers captured by Ukraine find individuals or organizations in our country, transfer funds to them, and they buy food and cigarettes here. The intermediaries likely charge a hefty commission for their services—one prisoner complained in a conversation that the parcels are expensive.
