Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video provides a detailed tutorial for a card trick called \"Progressive Assembly\" by Gnarly Cards. The effect involves the deceptive movement of four aces and several black spot cards, creating the illusion that the aces are progressively assembling themselves while black cards are discarded.
Hello again everybody.
This is a pretty cool card trick by Gnarly Cards called Progressive Assembly.
Check out his performance.
First, I'm going to do a tutorial for this trick, but watch his performance.
The link is in the description box.
It's also right over here.
Check out the performance, then come back and I'll show you how this trick is done.
Okay, this is a really cool trick and what you're going to need are four aces and any
five black spot cards.
So we're going to use these five black spot cards, but we're going to show only three
to the spectator.
So what we're going to do is we're going to set out the four aces and say we're going
to use three cards.
As we show these three cards, we're going to push off two cards, catch a break, cover
them with the three.
We don't want to show them long enough for the spectator to memorize them, so quickly
show the cards and say we're going to use three cards and you're going to steal away
all five.
Then you're going to peel off one, two, and this will be three right over here.
So you've got these five cards and you're going to show them this three.
So you've got three cards right over here.
So now what you do is you say, okay, we're going to take the ace of hearts, flip it over,
take one, two, then the pack right over here, turn it over, and now you're going to do an
Ascanio Spread.
So you're going to just show that you've got three black cards and an ace.
If you don't know what an Ascanio Spread is, there's a link for the tutorial in my description
box, but what you want to do is you want to hold the cards in a Biddle grip, slide the
front one, and using these two fingers, slide one and two, just like that.
So you're showing all the cards and you're holding the block of three right over here.
So first you're going to do an Ascanio Spread and show that you've got the three black cards
and the ace.
Then you're going to take this block of cards, the ace, the black card, the black card, square
them up, and now you're going to make the ace disappear, go like that, and do another
Ascanio Spread, and now the ace is gone.
Take this block of cards, move it to the back, flip it over, and you're going to set down
a black card.
Now you're going to count off one, two, and three, and this is an ace, so you're going
to set it right on top.
You're going to take the ace of spades now, flip it over, set the ace on top of it, then
the next card, and then the block of cards.
Turn it over, say you're going to take the ace of hearts, throw it in there, do another
Ascanio Spread showing that you have two aces.
Then what you're going to do is you're going to take this block of cards, this ace, the
black card, and the other black card, and this is pretty cool because you have two
black cards behind the ace of hearts, so when you close it up, you say now what you're going
to do is you're going to take the ace of hearts, throw it down, the ace of spades, throw it
down, do another Ascanio Spread, and you're now showing that you have four black cards.
This time, you don't want to put this on the back.
You want to put it in the third position because if you set this at the back, you're going
to lay down an ace, so you want to put it right here, flip the cards over, and now you're
going to set down another black card.
Next move, you're going to say, alright, we have three cards, again, one, two, just like
that, and you're going to take the ace of diamonds, flip it over, take one, two, set
the block on top, and you're going to say that you're going to take the ace of hearts,
throw it in, the ace of spades, throw it in, now holding the cards in the Biddle Grip,
you're going to peel off one, two, three, and hold these three cards as one, showing
that you have three aces now.
Then you're going to square the cards up, flip them over.
Now you want to show that you have three black cards.
The way you do this is, you say you're going to get rid of the aces, you throw them down,
you slide out the bottom card, flip it over as one, flip the whole pack over as two, and
now you want to do an Elmsley Count, and go one, two, three.
So you've got three black cards.
You're holding on to the three aces right behind this card, so you quickly want to set
it right between these two cards, flip the cards over, and set another card down.
And now for the last ace, you're going to take one, two, three, and you're going to
take the ace of clubs, flip it over, set down one, two, and then put the block on top.
So the way this looks now is you have three aces here, the ace of spades is on the bottom.
So what you want to do now is you want to buckle the ace of spades, you want to get
a little break because you're going to peel the ace of spades, buckle the ace of spades
in, and when you slide off the ace of clubs, you're going to say one, and you're taking
the ace of spades with you, then two, and then when you show the ace of hearts is three,
you go three, and you come back and put the ace of spades on top.
So now you're showing four cards, you've got two cards behind this ace, and now you can
show that you've got the four aces and three black cards are on the table.
So now what you do is you say, okay, let's set the aces down.
So you set down one, two, three, and then you're going to show the ace of spades is
one card when it really is three aces.
So you set that down right over here, and then you say, okay, we're going to take the
first ace.
Now this is an ace right here, so people think that these are the four aces, so you're going
to take the first ace, slide it in, do an Elmsley Count, whatever you want, then you
can just turn it over, show that all four cards are black, say we're going to get rid
of one of the black cards, flip it over, we'll take the second ace, slide it in, you can
do another Elmsley Count, go like this, and you can show that all the cards are black.
Now get rid of all the black cards, and say over here we have the ace of hearts, and we're
going to place the ace of hearts.
We're going to take the ace of diamonds and the ace of clubs and place that with the ace
of hearts on top of the ace of spades to see if we can get all the aces together, and there
are the four aces.
And that's it.
It's a really cool card trick by Gnarly Cards.
Check out his channel.
That's it.
I'll see you next time.
