UC WR JV Gibson Western Carolina Postgame
Sep 13, 2026
Yeah, I feel like, you know, he's seen the man coverage.
I feel like he has the confidence in him to go make a play.
I think both weeks you've had the first touchdown.
Is that a trend with you guys now?
No game can be played unless JB scores.
Nah, hopefully, probably.
If we can keep that connection going, that's great.
Has it felt like things have kind of clicked
from the end of last year, transferring here?
Or has it been a kind of steady progression of you improving,
getting better, and really kind of finding your niche role
and your thriving area of the field and all that stuff
from the end of last season when you kind of popped off
to a great start the first two games here?
Yeah, but most of all, I thank the coaches for everything.
They push me a lot, like really hard, like every day.
They tell me if I want to be great,
I got to go out there and do it, but they stay on my back.
Hit a little bit of an up-and-down camp, I would say,
with your maybe consistency.
What have you been able to do since then to work on that
because you've been very reliable as the games have arrived?
Let's see. Most are, say, up-and-downs.
Just probably me going out there,
just making a play like when it needs to be made.
A lot of receivers have been involved so far this season,
and you continue to emerge as the leading receiver.
Is that the role that you want to be, the featured receiver,
and what are you seeing from the defenses so far?
I feel like when the ball come my way,
I just make the play regardless.
I would say, like, I stand out from other receivers
because I think they're pretty good, too,
and then defense-wise, like, just going out there,
just me personally feeling like I'm better
than whoever they put up in front of me.
That's my mindset.
Cole mentioned how involved you guys
have been in the running game
with how productive the running game has been.
What kind of pride do you guys take in that,
seeing these running backs break off these long runs
and you being downfield helping them out?
Like our coaches preach us every day,
like, if we can get the touchdown block,
that's our touchdown.
I feel like they running the ball, though, with the ball,
I feel like that's our touchdown block, though,
at the same time, and then running the ball,
open up the pass game more so, too.
Thanks, everybody.
Thanks, JB.
