The Chapel Beneath the Tower Where Beheaded Queens Still Lie

A thirty-minute documentary tracing the full history of the Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London, from its Saxon origins to the present day. The chapel is the final resting place of roughly one thousand five hundred people, including three queens of England beheaded within the Tower walls. The film follows the building through centuries of destruction and rebuilding, chronicles the executions and burials that made it infamous, and culminates in the Victorian excavation of eighteen seventy-six, when a team of antiquaries opened the chapel floor and tried to identify the remains of Anne Boleyn.
