In this floral design tutorial, I'm creating a lavender and lime green centerpiece designed to work beautifully alongside the other 2 larger arrangements I've created in this same colour palette here on Youtube

One of the things I really want to show in this video is how much difference a few well-placed branches can make. They bring life, movement and personality into the arrangement and help give the design that loose, natural garden feel that I love.

I'm also working with colour grouping and flower grouping rather than simply spreading every flower evenly throughout the arrangement. This creates more interest, gives your eye somewhere to rest and makes each flower and texture more noticeable.

Throughout the tutorial, I'll show you how I think about:

• Creating movement with branches
• Grouping flowers and colours
• Building depth and texture
• Creating a natural, garden-inspired centerpiece
• Keeping the arrangement interesting from every angle
• Designing a smaller centerpiece that coordinates with larger wedding arrangements

This is a wonderful technique to practice if you're learning wedding floral design or simply want your arrangements to feel a little more natural, intentional and interesting.
