🎬 ABOUT PARDON MY PAST 🎬

Following their discharge from the service, Eddie York (Fred MacMurray) and his pal Chuck Gibson are dreaming of starting their own mink ranch in Wisconsin when Eddie's uncanny resemblance to playboy Frances Pemberton places him at odds with gangster Jim Arnold (Akim Tamiroff). Convinced that he's actually Frances, Arnold dispatches a pair of henchmen to collect a gambling debt, sending Eddie and Chuck to the Pemberton estate to clear up the confusion. But when Eddie finds that the playboy gambler has fled to Mexico, an angry grandfather, a scheming uncle, an estranged ex-wife, and a poor cousin (Marguerite Chapman) with whom he falls in love all combine to force the unsuspecting G.I. to patch up Pemberton's troubled life.
