The St. Louis Blues have found their next star.
After getting high praise in their first day of camp, we get even more updates surrounding
Jim Montgomery's surprising decision, which not only will have Blues fans fired up,
but showing that one player within this organization
is ready for a complete breakout season.
We're going to break down everything you need to know on this update surrounding one key
young guy, plus a look at multiple more updates surrounding the St. Louis Blues
with the season fastly approaching.
Darius, let's just dive straight into it today, where the first thing I wanted to dive into
was an update, where yesterday we've seen a lot of line combinations that show the future
of the team going into game one of the regular season.
But one thing in particular that stood out, and Lou did an incredible job, go check out
his Twitter.
He said, you can definitely see that Mason McTavish and Connor McMichael are looking
to play on the same page, communicating, and in sync.
They're talking out here constantly.
Now, of course, looking at the lineup that came yesterday, and if you missed the video,
go check it all out, because we dove into a lot of stuff, but right on the second line,
Connor McMichael, Mason McTavish, and Booch taking over that, and honestly, Darius, I
don't know if you feel the same, but TN2 knew, guys, join this team, take that second line,
and immediately start gelling.
It added a lot of faith within this organization for me.
A lot of questions, a lot of speculation during the offseason in terms of where they would
be playing.
Would they be separated?
Would one of them be on the left wing on the third line?
And we finally got our answer yesterday that they will be playing together, and they're
going to try and make it work, whatever that may look like.
And one thing that I think is cool about that line is, you know, they're going to be very
versatile.
Both of them can take faceoffs and can play the middle of the ice.
So if one of them is not feeling it, the other one's going to take over in that, you know,
for the defense of responsibility.
So I think that's, you know, very interesting.
We're also going to get to another prospect, if you even want to call him a prospect later
in the video, because he is showing out.
But I like what Jim Montgomery has done with these lines so far.
And guys, it's exciting.
Training camp is here, which also means that we're all a year older.
And one of the strangest things about getting older is that your recovery, your energy,
your focus, your stamina, they're not what they used to be.
It's a gradual decline that is so subtle that you just don't even notice until it's too
late.
And that is exactly where Mars Men comes into play.
Mars Men is made with eight clinically dosed ingredients, including vitamin D, boron, zinc,
and a few others as well that naturally support testosterone, energy, and stamina.
Now I've noticed personally that it really helps my recovery.
And I play a lot of sports.
I like to play a lot of hockey and just stay active in general.
Whether it's walking, whatever that may be, going for runs.
And we don't recover like we used to when we were kids, right?
And you can see the Mars Men on screen as well.
Great product.
And we don't recover as fast as we used to as kids.
It doesn't take us 20 minutes and orange slices to bounce back like we used to, right?
We need some help.
And I like that it's not a temporary boost like caffeine or anything like that for your
energy.
It's a pretty steady boost, which is really cool as well.
And hey, if you don't like it, you can also get your money back with a 90 day money back
guarantee.
But right now, this fall, Blues Digest viewers and listeners get 50% off for life.
That's right.
50% off for life at MenGoToMars.com.
That's MenGoToMars.com.

And when you check out, they're going to ask you where they found or where you, excuse
me, found the product.
Let them know that it was Darius and Mark on Blues Digest that sent you.
Once again, thank you to Mars Men for sponsoring this video.
But Mark, I'm curious for your thoughts on the one player that we keep alluding to that
we keep hinting at.
Because while the forward group looks great, I'm excited to see them play.
The defense looks a little bit different than I think we realized it would look.
Some guys took a step in the summer and towards the end of last season as well.
And I think a big thing is yesterday, like we said, we've seen the lineup come out and
not a lot of surprises with a group with Jim saying, hey, stay on your toes.
But we pretty much know what we're doing.
But the biggest surprise was stepping in when we seen the update coming through that Theo
Lindstein was the biggest surprise for Jim Montgomery and that he might be their best
defenseman at moving the puck tape to tape.
Boom.
It's on their stick.
And looking at the quotes coming through again today with the camp continuing on watching
Theo Lindstein out there today.
He's always so positionally in the right spots.
Both ends of the ice.
Young man never looks overwhelmed at anything.
I don't even think it's a matter of if it's a matter of when we see him start in this
opening night lineup.
This is going to be one of the situations we're even looking at elite prospects when
Theo Lindstein was drafted.
Nothing spoke about this elite offensive defenseman.
Yes, it spoke a lot about his breakup, his gap control, how he plays as a defensive guy.
But now looking at that offensive game, really picking up the opportunity to go out and make
this team.
Dearest, I've never been more excited for a young guy.
Of course, Justin Carboneau is going to be there.
Adam Juracek is going to be there.
But looking at Theo Lindstein and the continuous work he's put up, looking at the way that
they've been speaking on him, I think we have a future star, a guy that's going straight
on that second period.
And genuinely, I think someone that's going to shock the NHL.
But we keep using the word prospect.
We keep saying future.
He's arrived.
He's going to make this team.
I mean, the praise that he's getting from Jim Montgomery, head coach Jim Montgomery,
and the fact that he's slotted in there on the second pairing.
He is going to make this team.
He finished last season on the team.
He had a very good showing, at least in my eyes.
We talked a lot about how he's a really good defensive defenseman.
That's what he brings to the table.
He can shut down plays and all that type of stuff.
But he can also move the puck very efficiently.
He's also a high hockey IQ player.
He is a smart hockey player.
There was a quote the other day from Nikita Kucherov on the first day of camp saying that
the game is a lot faster now, but it's a lot dumber as well because a lot of guys do not
have high hockey IQ.
This is a guy that does.
And if you have that, you can do a lot, man.
Like the sky is the limit.
If you are a very smart hockey player, you can get around the ice more effectively.
You can move the puck more effectively.
And that affects your teammates as well.
How you transport the puck, especially as a defenseman in today's NHL.
What is everyone looking for in the NHL?
Every single team that missed the playoffs last year said we need more puck moving defenseman.
Well, there's only a few, right?
And or that are super effective at it.
And Theo Lindstein is one of those guys, and they have him in the system.
I think he's going to, you know, really come on the scene this year and show what he's
got.
And I think that changes things for the depth chart that changes things for guys like Adam
Juracek as well.
But I think it's ultimately a great thing for the blues and makes them a really scary
team.
I think heading into this year, and I think a lot of people are managing their expectations,
but I have to say this is a younger team, a lot more turnover, right?
There's there's a lot of turnover compared to maybe last year.
Let's say when, you know, Shen was coming back and all of that.
But I think ultimately they're a young, hungry team that with Jim Montgomery finally having
his own staff in place.
I think these guys are ready to make some noise, and I think they're putting players
in positions to succeed and honestly thrive because guys like this are just taking these
opportunities.
And I've seen someone in the comments saying, honestly, it's one of the comments that I
fully agreed with.
I agree with a lot of them as well, but someone said this is one of the deepest teams I've
seen in quite some time with this organization.
And again, Dearest, you have a lot of guys even looking at Group B where we spoke on
it.
Of course, we know what the lineup is going to look going into the first game.
But looking at this, a lot of these guys crack any other NHL roster, Nathan Walker, you have
Sunquist, Stenberg, even looking at Justin Carbono, Finley, who was on the team last
year.
This is a team that legitimately it looks like an A and a B team.
Of course, it doesn't have the star talent on that second group, but Steve Ott is going
to have a hell of a team to work with when it comes to next season.
With Springfield or this season coming, it's almost around the corner.
Look at the defense as well.
This is a team that now, like you said, is a very young group, a group that is making
a push.
Jim made it very clear that, hey, stay on your toes.
We have four games and five practices.
We want to see what is the best.
But this feels like the lineup.
And again, looking from just last season where he looked at Logan Mayhew and said, hey, don't
find a fireman yet.
We don't know.
He didn't speak like anyone else.
When he spoke about Theo Lindstein, this feels like a kid that's almost cemented unless
something bad happens and he turns the puck over 15 times, which knock on wood, it's not
going to happen.
But fans, let us know your thoughts on Theo Lindstein.
What is your thoughts on his future with this organization?
Is this the guy that's going to come in day one of this regular season and turn heads
to the point where people are going to look and say, damn, this kid's an absolute steal.
I'm the future star of the organization.
Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
I've been your host, Mark, with my co-host, Darius, and take care, Blue Suns.
