AI GeneratedMakeup artist Nicki LaRose demonstrates a professional yet fast 15-minute makeup routine ideal for errands or days off. By prioritizing skin tints over full-coverage foundations and utilizing a strategic application order, she achieves a glowy, natural finish that balances efficiency with a polished appearance.
Hi everyone.
Welcome back to my channel.
If you're new here, my name is Nicki LaRose, I'm a makeup artist of 18 years.
And in this video that you just clicked on, this is going to be an entirely uncut tutorial
showing the entire process of makeup.
And in this makeup video, I'm going to be teaching just a quick, fresh, easy, fast makeup
look.
And I'm actually going to attempt this makeup look in 15 minutes or under.
My husband, Mitch, basically triple dog dared me today and he bet me $100, a crisp $100
that I couldn't get this video done in 15 minutes.
So I am very competitive and I plan on winning that $100 bill and I plan on putting it to
good use, probably going to Sephora or Ulta after this video.
So fingers crossed we can do this in 15 minutes.
Either way, we're going to have fun.
And I'm going to share with you just what I would consider a fresh, easy, and quick
makeup look.
This is the kind of makeup look I would do to run errands.
It's the kind of makeup look I would do if I had a day off.
And I say that with just total joy because I don't really take days off.
If I'm not going into town doing clients, if I'm not on set working on other people,
then I'm filming videos on myself.
So I don't typically get a lot of days where I can do this kind of makeup look, but when
I do have those days, this is the kind of pare down look that I will do.
So without further ado, let's get right into it.
I'm going to start with a primer of sorts.
This is the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm and I'm actually going to set
the timer right now because you know what?
We're on a mission to prove Mitch, my husband, wrong.
So we're going to set this right now for 15 minutes guys, 15 minutes.
If you hear us go off, that means we did not do a 15 minute quick makeup look.
Okay, spray my skin first with this spray because this can also double as a primer.
I'm going to go in and just do a little color correcting and concealing with my Maybelline
Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer.
This is one of the best products if you just want to knock out a quick concealing, you
can use a sponge applicator, blend it out, it's drugstore, it's budget friendly and it's
all skin type and all skin age friendly.
So I find this is a very forgiving concealer at the drugstore if you want something that
doesn't emphasize wrinkles and texture.
The shade that I'm applying is going to double also as a color corrector, which is going
to knock out a lot of, well, they need to do a color corrector and concealer on top
of it.
This shade is more of a cool undertone.
It's the shade 110.
So because it has that pinkier undertone, it's going to help to cancel out and neutralize
the redness or not the redness, but like the discoloration that's under my eye.
It's going to help to balance it out essentially.
Okay.
That is on.
I'm going to grab one of my favorite skin tints of all time.
This is very oily skin friendly, but I would say all skin types can use this.
It's the RMS Sun Cover-Up Super Tint.
Now this has SPF 50 in it, I'm running low on this, has SPF 50 in it, which is great.
I already have my sunscreen on first.
I always will do my initial sunscreen prior to makeup, even if the makeup contains a higher
SPF like this one from RMS, to me, it doesn't matter.
I'm still going to do an actual SPF that's not tinted, not inside a makeup formula prior
because that way I can bring it down my neck and not have to worry about bringing this
kind of product down my neck for that sun protection.
So my Paula's Choice actually is what I have on right now.
I re-bought it.
It's just one of my favorites.
Alright, so I just applied that RMS with my fingertip and I'm taking the front side of
my N17 and this is just going to melt the rest of the edges into place.
So I basically spread the majority of the pigment, majority of the coverage on with
my fingertip just for the efficiency of it and I'm just taking the actual foundation
brush to blend out all those edges.
So making it nice and seamless.
The great thing about skin tints is they're a lot quicker to blend into your skin.
They're a lot more natural in terms of the coverage.
So even if you don't do an incredible job of blending them out, they're usually more
undetectable than let's say you didn't blend out a full coverage foundation.
Those you can clock a mile away if you did not blend them out properly or didn't do a
good job of really blending out all the edges of it.
Like you'll see streaks with a foundation that's full coverage more than you'll see
streaks of a skin tint like this.
I'll have this one linked below.
Again, it's like one of my favorites and one of the top ones I recommend if you want a
skin tint that actually stays put and lasts.
This is one of the best ones to pick up.
We're immediately going to go in and warm up my skin with a very, very easy, very quick
bronzer.
This is a Bronze Balm Stick from Dior.
Now this is scented.
It does have quite a fragrance to it, so just a forewarning.
But what I love about this one is when I want to just knock something out really quick in
terms of a sculpting slash bronzing product, this one is just super duper quick and easy.
I'm going to go in with the N18.
I like to start with the tapping motion and I like to do my cream bronzers before my concealer
because I think the blend is just more seamless and just makes more sense, right?
So if you blend out, for example, your bronzer and you blend it into areas that you didn't
really necessarily mean to, you get that second chance with a concealer to fix any of those
mistakes and to clean up any of those mistakes as well.
So rather than doing it the opposite way, where once your concealer is on and then you
blend out your bronzer on top and maybe you blend it too far down, maybe you blend it
too far up, you make a mistake, well, you'd have to go back in with more concealer to
fix it rather than just doing it after.
And also it allows me to really get in there and just blend out the nose and not be so
precious about it and so precise because I know I'm going to clean it up with said concealer.
Okay, now we're warmed up.
Our skin is evened out.
We are in a good spot, but what I love to do when I'm doing a quick makeup look is I
love to grab my Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm.
If you know, you know, I know I use this product all the time.
I am hooked on this product.
This is just one of my ride or die staples in my life.
Now, let me actually twist this open, squeeze out a little more products.
I try to keep this locked.
There's like a twisty mechanism where you can lock it so the product doesn't seep out.
And I highly recommend you lock it after every use, especially if you're traveling with this.
It can leak big time.
In fact, when I travel with these as a makeup artist and I have them in my kit, I'll put
these in a Ziploc bag because that's how risky it is.
Immediately going in while it's still really wet with the N20 brush, you can see this has
lots of leftover Charlotte Tilbury Pinkgasm on it from prior use.
So it's already like pretty much primed and ready to go.
So pushing this up under my eyes, bringing it upwards towards the temple, sweeping it
across my nose.
This is like my base layer of blush.
And if I have time and if I still feel inclined to, then I'll usually go in and apply either
another cream blush on top or a powder blush.
But before I do my concealer, I'm actually going to go in immediately with the Makeup
by Mario.
These are the Master Matte Liquid Eyeshadows.
This is in the shade Chestnut.
Now, Chestnut is going to give me the quickest wash of color, but you want to do one eye
at a time.
I'm blaming this out right away with the N16 brush.
These dry down very, very fast, especially if you have dry eyelids.
I don't have dry eyelids, but if you did, they're going to dry down extremely fast.
So just work fast, do one eye at a time, and you should be golden.
So I'm going to blend this upwards towards the crease of my eye, getting a soft gradient
effect.
Doing this prior to my concealer allows me to just kind of get in there and not be so
mindful of like, okay, if I'm blending too far down, if I went too low with my blending,
I'm now disrupting that concealer that was placed prior.
It gives me more freedom to get in there and really blend quickly and not have to worry
about messing anything up.
So it may seem like an odd order that I'm doing this, but it all is for a reason.
So see how that just gives me a nice multi-shadow look with just being one product?
It's quick, still very fresh, still very natural.
Now immediately, I'm actually going to go in now with my powder bronzer of choice.
I'll be applying this a little bit later on in this quick routine.
This is the Armani Luminous Silk Bronzy Powder in the shade 90.
It is luminous.
However, it doesn't translate as like glittery.
I'm going to sweep a pretty generous amount of this into my crease to finish up this eye
makeup look and this eyeshadow look with the N20S.
So N20S is like the small little sister version of my N20 brush.
So right in the crease, finishing up the eyes or the eyeshadow look.
Applying bronzer in the crease of your eye is like one of the most no-fail, super flattering,
very quick way to bring out your eyes, to define them, to give them a quick eyeshadow
look without making a big fuss about it.
And it just always looks good.
So if it's a bronzer that you love on your face, nine times out of 10, it's going to
look beautiful as a crease color, as an eyeshadow too.
Okay, so now that we did that, we can actually go in finally with the Maybelline Magic Eraser
and again, 110 is the shade.
And just apply this under the eye and to highlight and lift.
So I'm just going to do a little highlighting here and here.
We're going to let this dry down and self-set just a touch.
In that meantime, I'm going to grab my tight lining eyeliner of choice.
These are so good.
These are from Makeup Forever.
I've used these a long time ago, but I think they re, I'm sure they tweaked them a little
bit.
They're definitely a little different from the ones I remember back in the day, but this
is the shade Cool Ebony and it's the aqua resist color pencils.
These are water resistant slash waterproof, but I would, I would just say they're honestly
water resistant.
I did not sharpen this, so hold on.
Oh, okay.
Grab the sharpener.
That's going to cut into my time for sure.
Tight lining, pulling it outward just a bit, going to grab the N12 brush and just soften
that edge, smudge it out a touch so it's a little bit more, again, fresh, simple.
We're not going for an overly defined eye.
We're not going for anything dramatic, but just fresh, simple and quick.
Perfect.
Now, while I'm here, I'm actually going to take this liquid liner from Sephora collection.
It's a 12 hour intense ink.
I'm going to lay this flat and just define super duper close to my lash line, just like
that.
Now, I did hit, I did hit this area a little bit, so let me fix this real quick.
Okay.
Eyeliner is done.
We're going to do some mascara and this one has been a favorite of mine along with the
YSL Lash Latex.
It's the Reveal Beauty Effortless Lash.
This has a great wand that curls the lashes and gives a good lift, but also it's not a
messy formula, so it doesn't end up flaking on me or smudging on me and I find that it's
also very nice when you're in a hurry.
It's not one of those goopy formulas that you have to be really careful to apply.
I feel like I can be a little more sloppy with the application and it still doesn't
do me dirty, which is a good thing.
Okay.
We're going to switch over to the N19 brush, which will be back in stock very soon, by
the way.
I know it's been sold out for a minute, but it should be back really, really soon and
you guys will be the first people to know once it is, I'll be for sure announcing it.
So now that that concealer has dried down a lot, the blending part is going to take
two seconds.
Now, I can already see on my timer, I am running so low on time, so let's see what we can knock
out in terms of the rest of this makeup look.
And again, if I wasn't talking in this video, this look would have been done.
So just want to point that out there.
I'm not trying to make excuses, but it would have been done in for sure 15 minutes if I
wasn't talking and showing products, but I'm going to try to win this bet because I want
that $100 bill from Mitch.
I'm just going to take it anyway.
Okay.
Immediately, we're going to go in with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder in
the shade Soft Pink.
So Soft Pink is my favorite powder for setting my under eyes, but you can also use this in
any areas that you highlighted.
So we can pop this on top of the chin if we want, definitely between the brows.
So it is a brightening powder, so just keep that in mind.
If you do pick this powder up, you want to place it only in the areas that you want to
brighten and further enhance that highlight.
So not just under the eyes, but you wouldn't want to put it all over your face.
That would be a mistake.
A little on the chin, a little right here.
Now we need to bring back a little more warmth, so we're going to go back into that bronzer
and I'll use it to set the rest of the areas we bronzed prior with the bronzing stick from
Dior.
104 brush from BK Beauty makes it quick and easy.
Just tap on, tap on.
I love to hit my nose to bring a lot of warmth in my nose and like the center of my face.
Side of the cheek.
Oh, it's going to go off in two seconds.
Okay.
Timer is done and we're going to just cheat a little bit because we want to do our lip
and we want to do a 15 minute makeup look without a lip.
So let's just knock out a nice, quick, simple lip look.
This is something I grab and do for like when I'm running out the door, when I'm running
to take the dogs on a walk, when I'm running errands, when I'm going to drop off orders,
when I'm packing orders, anything like that.
This is the lip liner of choice for me, like one of them, but this is like the top, like
out of the top five, this is like one of my absolute favorites.
It's Makeup by Mario Tan.
Tan just looks like my lip color, but better.
And it's a really great neutral.
So I love to powder my lips prior because I want longevity.
So I'm going to take Tan and we'll probably just go over like one more minute and Tan
is on.
Now, you know that I love the Dr. Janis Gross tinted lip treatments.
I am finally now breaking into my nude one or I think this is called Beige.
I'll have this one link below.
The pink one was my favorite.
This one is good for just the same reason.
It's going to moisturize my lips.
It's going to condition them.
It's going to plump them up definitely quite visibly, but this has a nice tint to it.
So it's going to double as basically like my lipstick lip gloss.
So putting this right on top of the Makeup by Mario Tan, just going to squeeze some of
the product out.
So that's the color of it, just like that.
Finishing step, I'm just going to touch more color.
This is the Glow Play Blushes from MAC in Totally Sinked and 17, just laying this right
on top of the Charlotte Tilbury, just for a little extra color.
Just don't tell Mitch.
Don't tell Mitch.
We went over just a touch, but I still plan on taking that $100 bill out of his wallet.
Hopefully you're in support of that.
All right, last round of finishing spray or setting spray, excuse me.
So back to Danessa, let that soak in.
This is a quick, fresh, like I feel very fresh, honestly, and easy makeup routine that you
can absolutely knock out in 15 minutes if you were not talking and or showing products
like I was just now.
Let me fix my hair.
But my skin is glowy, but there's coverage.
My eyes are defined, but in a very soft, natural way.
Ooh, this hair.
My makeup is set.
Mascara is on.
My eyes are defined.
My cheeks are glowing.
