In this video we look at McCarthyism, Communism, & The Red Scare! The Second Red Scare, to be specific.

After the Second World War, the United States of America and the Soviet Union had emerged as the two preeminent global powers. The former extolling the virtues of Capitalism and the latter, Communism. With more and more nations falling under the communist yolk, there was a pervasive fear that attempts were being made to do the same in the United States.

With communism being viewed as an affront to the values of America, widespread panic and suspicion was felt across society and, as a result of these feelings, McCarthyism was born! A phenomenon which we will explore in this video!
