From the Orchard | Quiet Sketchbook Session in Sepia & Ink

A quiet sketchbook session beginning in my grandmother’s old apple orchard. Sepia pencil, loose leaves, fragments of apples and plenty of white space. The page was feeling a little too empty, so I decided to to carry on with ink.

The branches are drawn directly in ink, without a reference or pencil underneath. No planning, just one line after another and seeing where they lead.

No talking, no music. Just pencil, pen and the quiet sounds of drawing.
