Today is absolutely beautiful here in Northern Michigan, and the Siberian Huskies are already finding trouble. Kira and Eleanor decided to chase squirrels right up the trees in the yard while snacking on acorns. After wrangling the dogs, I headed out to the cabin house to help Jamie and my dad with some major roof renovations. Fixing up an old house always comes with unexpected projects, and today we discovered the well pump pressure tank needs some serious repair after getting clogged with debris.
When I got back home, I ventured into the back garage and found a huge piece of nostalgia, Memphis's old red Jeep! We shared some beautiful memories of Memphis riding around in her custom cars, and it really brought a smile to my face. The garage is currently a giant storage project, but we are debating turning it into a filming studio for all of our Amazon product reviews in the future. Later in the evening, I took Kira and Eleanor on a beautiful two mile sunset walk where we spotted so many tiny baby squirrels. Kira was absolutely locked on to them the entire time!
We finished off the night by opening some incredibly thoughtful fan mail from all of you. Lisa had a memorial tree planted in a National Forest for Memphis, which had me in happy tears. Kim sent us the most amazing Emberlite stone dice for our Magic the Gathering game nights, and Jamie was so shocked when he saw them glow! Katie even sent Kira a brand new summer sprinkler that we cannot wait to test out. Life is short, Make memories with your dogs!
