Your salesperson comes back with great news: “We found another $1,500 rebate for you!” But where did that money come from, and does taking it actually make your deal better?
In this video, I show you how to identify the rebate, check whether you qualify, and find out if it was already included in the advertised price. We’ll also look at the financing tradeoff that can make a cash rebate cost you more in the long run.
Before you sign, ask the dealer to show the dealer discount, each manufacturer rebate, and the full out-the-door price as separate numbers in writing. You’ll leave this video with five questions you can use at the dealership.
