Scotland's Failed Empire!

In this video we look at the Darien Scheme, Scotland's failed attempt at starting their own Empire. Wherein 1698, a small fleet of ships set sail from Leith, Scotland, to modern-day Panama with the intent of settling the area in the name of the Kingdom of Scotland!

However, things didn't turn out too well for the new inhabitants...
