I shared a video of Mama signing my books—by request.
Was I excited about it? Not really… because baby, Mama didn’t write one word 😂

But I said yes for two reasons:
1️⃣ I’m a recovering people pleaser
2️⃣ Writing her name is a real cognitive exercise

That’s it.
That was the intention.

Somehow, it turned into accusations that I was exploiting my mother for book sales—which is wild. I’ve NEVER had to do that. GOOGLE ME.

If you’ve never loved someone through dementia, you may not understand that everything becomes an exercise—writing, holding a pen, recognizing a name, finishing a task.

I’m very intentional in ALL of our activities.
I answer to love and support—not commentary.
And I stand ten toes down in my role as her daughter and her advocate.

And no… don’t hop in my comments asking why I’m explaining.
