Thanksgiving 2025 Was a Hot Mess… Mama Was OFF THE CHAIN! 😂💜 #Dementia

Thanksgiving 2025 was supposed to be peaceful… but if you’re a dementia caregiver, you already know peace isn’t always on the menu. 🤣🦃

When I arrived at the facility to pick up Mama, she was off the chain — speeding around, not listening, and completely disoriented.

But I brought her home anyway because holidays are always short-staffed, and I’d rather be the one with her than strangers who don’t understand her needs.

Once we got home?
Mama sat still for a grand total of five minutes out of five hours. FIVE. MINUTES. 😩😂

She dropped her entire Thanksgiving meal on the floor, refused to settle down, and kept me running nonstop. It was a full-on dementia Thanksgiving circus, and honestly… all you can do is laugh to keep from crying.
