Mother’s Day Love: Dementia Edition--Straight Off the Plane to See Mama 💜

​It was Mother’s Day weekend, and even after flying back from Gary, Indiana to see The Jacksons perform, there was only one place I needed to be — with Mama. 💜✈️👣
Fresh off the plane, running on empty, I went straight to the memory care facility to see my ​girl. She walked and walked, so I walked right along with her. We danced to Anita Baker, smiled, laughed, and soaked in the love — even through the exhaustion.

This is what loving someone through dementia looks like: showing up, even when you're tired... dancing even when your feet hurt... and making memories that matter.

Happy Mother’s Day to every caregiver, daughter, and family member giving their all. You are seen. You are valued. And the love you give means everything. 💐
