I picked Mama up from her memory care facility, and we headed out on a mission: to get pizza for the nurses and residents in honor of Nurses Week! Along the way, we made the trip meaningful by doing simple brain exercises — small tasks that helped keep Mama's mind engaged, while teaching me (once again) the beauty of patience.

Seeing the nurses smile, the residents light up, and Mama feeling accomplished made it a day I’ll never forget. This is what caregiving and community are all about: patience, love, dignity, and celebration. 🎉
