Born on August 29, 1949, in Saint-Lary, France, Igor and Grichka rose to national fame at the end of the 1970s. Their futuristic television program Temps X, launched on TF1 in 1979, combined science, science fiction, technology, and popular culture and helped make the brothers two of the most recognizable personalities on French television.

Their story later moved far beyond television. The twins published books, pursued advanced studies in mathematics and theoretical physics, became the center of major scientific controversy, and remained public figures whose changing appearance and unusual personalities attracted fascination far beyond France.

Their lives remained closely connected until the very end. Grichka Bogdanoff died on December 28, 2021, at the age of 72. Just six days later, on January 3, 2022, Igor also died at 72 - bringing one of French television’s most unusual twin stories to an extraordinary and deeply sad conclusion.
