What Keeps Appearing in Australia's Forests at Night Defies Logic

He wasn't the first person in this country to see it, and records suggest people have been reporting the same thing since 1789. Aboriginal oral tradition calls it Doolagahl, Yaroma, Quinkin, names that predate European settlement by generations. Colonial newspapers called it the hairy man of the woods. Naturalist Rex Gilroy watched one leap out of the scrub fifteen metres away in the Blue Mountains.
