Born in Barcelona in 1978, where she lives and has her studio, Nuria Valcárcel is an oil painter trained at the Barcelona Academy of Art. After a career of almost twenty years in fashion graphic design, she decided to dedicate herself fully to painting. Her work seeks to convey intimacy and emotion through color, with influences from nature, Galician folklore, and Catalan modernism.
