On September 27, new details emerged about the large-scale Operation Vivaldi and the role of the NC-13 unit of the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Servicemen from this unit upgraded their ground-based robotic systems, installing two Bullspike grenade launchers on them, and used them in the localized operations of Ryazan Sugar, Chipok, Obloga Veiko, and Chitanka. As shown in a video published on the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' X social media account , the NRCs attacked enemy positions, eliminated personnel, destroyed facilities, and also detonated themselves if necessary. "No one in the history of war has ever used such tactics," the publication emphasized. The video footage shows that the robots were controlled from a secure headquarters where the unit's team was located. Ukrainian armed forces are continuing Operation Vivaldi. Formal leadership is exercised by Andriy Bily Vozhd Biletsky, founder of the Azov movement and commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Nikita Yurchenko, military observer for BUSINESS Online, discusses the possible goals of this operation, its underlying causes, and potential consequences. According to publicly available information, Ukrainian armed forces are indeed enjoying some tactical success in this area. The battle is taking place to the northeast and east of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. As a result of intensive operations, Ukrainian forces have virtually cut off the bulge overlooking Krasny Liman, apparently seeking to reach the banks of the Zherebets River, thus reversing last year's Russian army offensive. At the same time, Kyiv faces significant problems in the Kharkiv region, where the North Group of Forces continues to digest the Vovchansk cauldron, the remaining troops of which will likely be eliminated within the next few weeks. There are setbacks on the western flank, in the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration: there, the Center Group of Forces is gradually gaining operational space, and Ukrainian armed forces are unable to maintain a secure hold without adequate support. Force Group Vostok has stabilized its position and continues to push back the enemy both in the Pokrovskoe area and on the western flank of the Orekhovo fortified region. This was compounded by an unexpected success for Force Group Dnepr, which has already captured half of Orekhovo and continues to press north, threatening the logistics of Zaporizhzhia itself.
