🌿 A summer journey through Aomori Prefecture, Japan, from a green forest gorge to the apple orchards of Hirosaki.
I followed the rushing water of Oirase Gorge on foot, crossed a wide blue lake by boat, and paused beneath old cedar trees at a quiet shrine.
On my second day, I wandered around a castle park in Hirosaki and ended the trip among rows of green Aomori apple trees under a clear summer sky.
