AI GeneratedThis tutorial explains how to perform the \"pull through false riffle shuffle,\" a card magic technique that creates the illusion of shuffling while keeping the deck in its original order. The instructor details the specific hand positioning, the importance of applying minimal pressure, and the method for extracting the cards to maintain the deck's sequence.
Hello again everybody.
Okay this is a tutorial for the pull through false riffle shuffle.
What you want to do is you want to riffle shuffle the cards without disturbing the order
of the deck.
So what it looks like is this.
And the deck is undisturbed.
Okay let me show you what you want to do is you want to take the bottom half of the deck
and put it in your good hand.
So I'm left handed so I'm putting the bottom half in my left hand.
Then what you want to do is in your right hand you want to have the, or your bad hand,
you want to have that card be the bottom card and the top card.
You want to angle the cards towards you and you want to riffle shuffle the cards.
So now I have the right handed card at the bottom and at the top and like I said if you're
right handed then you would want the left handed card at the bottom at the top and
this is the bottom half of the deck.
Now what you want to do is you want to apply little or no pressure to the deck at all because
you want the cards to intertwine without any resistance.
So what you want to do is you want the cards to be pushed in at an angle.
And while you're pushing the cards in you want to have this thumb ready and this finger
ready right here so that way you can grab the cards as they come through just like this.
That's how you want to be able to grab them.
And then once you've got a hold of the cards here you then can square them up just like
that.
So now what it looks like is like this.
You've got a hold of the deck right here firmly but there's no resistance and no pressure
right here.
So when your hands are covering you now can pull out these cards and without making a
sound like where it sounds like you're ripping the cards out you're holding the edge over
here you're taking the cards out moving them to the top catching a little break and then
you're moving this right to the top here and the cards have not been disturbed.
One more time.
You want to take the bottom half of the deck in your good hand and the top half of the
deck in your other hand.
I don't want to say your bad hand.
If you want to put less than half the deck in your good hand that would probably be better.
It would glide through a little bit easier.
So I have a little bit less than half.
You want the larger half to go down first and the cards to be angled towards you.
So riffling the cards and the larger half on top.
You want to push them towards the middle so you get them close and then as you squeeze
them together you want to have your fingers positioned here and here and use this finger
to push the cards through.
So now I've got a grip of the deck of the cards as it's coming through.
Now that I've got the cards and I've got a hold of the cards I can use these fingers
to push the cards down and give the appearance that I'm squaring the cards up when actually
this is what I have.
I've got this portion sticking out.
I'm going to grab a hold of the deck right over here so I'm not touching these cards
and these cards are completely loose.
And then by holding my hands over this and hiding this just take these cards out.
Oh you heard a little...
You don't really want to hear any kind of sound at all.
Move it to the top, catch a little break and then move the cards from the bottom right
to the top and everything is in order.
Okay, one last final time in case you didn't get it because I'm not sure I got it.
You're going to take the bottom half, put it in your good hand.
There's the Ace of Spades at the bottom.
You're going to angle the cards towards you.
You're going to put the bad hand or my right hand card first.
Angle the cards down and on top.
You're going to have no pressure on the deck as you push them together.
You're going to be waiting with this finger and your thumb for the deck to pass through
and use this finger to push it through.
Once it comes through you've got hold of the deck just like this.
You're now going to use these fingers to square the deck up.
You've got the deck squared up just like that with a portion sticking out.
You're going to cover that with your hands.
You're going to grab this end and hold it firmly and there should be no resistance so
you can easily pull out these cards, move them right to the top, catch a little break
right here, and then take the bottom half and move it to the top and all the cards are
in the exact same order.
And it looks like you've shuffled the cards.
That's it.
