Alexander The GREAT - The Greatest conquerer of ALL Time?
Alexander was born in July 356 BC in Pella, the capital of Macedonia. He was the son of King Philip II and his mother was Queen Olympia, daughter of King Neoptolemus. Alexander was raised by his mother and tutored by Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers in ancient Greece.
Alexander became king of Macedonia in 336 BC after his father, King Philip II, was assassinated. Despite his youth, Alexander was a charismatic and visionary leader. He immediately set his sights on expanding the empire and set out to conquer the Persian Empire, which was one of the largest empires in the world at the time.
Alexander's military campaigns were characterized by their speed and success. He conquered the Persian Empire in just ten years and continued to expand his empire, conquering Egypt and pushing as far east as India. He was known for his strategic military tactics and his willingness to take on impossible challenges.
Alexander's death in 323 BC remains a mystery, but it is widely believed that he died of a fever at the age of 32. His empire was divided among his generals, and although his legacy lived on, it was eventually conquered by the Romans.
